The power industry plays a major role in achieving carbon emission peak and carbon neutrality. China needs a power industry with deep decarbonization and high energy efficiency in the next 40 years. ...The adjustment of electric power structure mainly contains two parts: (1) The transition of thermal power generation to renewable energy power generation. (2) The transition of low-parameter thermal power generating to high-parameter thermal power generating. Here this paper predicted the total power-generating capacity in the future 40 years using multivariable linear regression and LEAP (Long-range Energy Alternatives Planning System) methods. Afterwards, based on baseline and policy-driven (China's energy and electric power development plan in 2030 and prospect in 2060) scenarios, this study projected the proportions of different power generation technologies/different parameters of thermal power plants using Origin and historical data. This research also used LCI (life cycle inventory) to obtain energy-saving and environmental benefits in the transitions of thermal energy to renewable energy power generation/low-parameter to high-parameter thermal power generating. Results showed that in policy-driven scenario, wind power and photovoltaic power generation will reach 36.5% and 36.9% of total power generation respectively by 2060. Moreover, renewable and new energy power generation will save 5780 million tons standard coal and 14,512 million tons of CO2 emissions by 2060. Super thermal power generation, however, was predicted to expand 1690 billion kWh from 2017 to 2050 for its large environmental benefits but phase out gradually from 2050 to 2060 to achieve Chinese government's “carbon neutrality” goal.
Objectives
Postponed open necrosectomy or minimally invasive intervention has become the treatment option for necrotizing pancreatitis. Nevertheless, several studies point to the safety and efficacy ...of early intervention for necrotizing pancreatitis. Therefore, we conducted a systematic review and meta‐analysis to compare clinical outcomes of acute necrotizing pancreatitis between early and late intervention.
Methods
Literature search was performed in multiple databases for articles that compared the safety and clinical outcomes of early (<4 weeks from the onset of pancreatitis) versus late intervention (≥4 weeks from the onset of pancreatitis) for necrotizing pancreatitis published up to August 31, 2022. The meta‐analysis was performed to determine pooled odds ratio (OR) of mortality rate and procedure‐related complications.
Results
Fourteen studies were included in the final analysis. For open necrosectomy intervention, the overall pooled OR of mortality rate with the late intervention compared with early intervention was 7.09 (95% confidence interval CI 2.33–21.60; I2 = 54%; P = 0.0006). For minimally invasive intervention, the overall pooled OR of mortality rate with the late intervention compared with early intervention was 1.56 (95% CI 1.11–2.20; I2 = 0%; P = 0.01). The overall pooled OR of pancreatic fistula with the late minimally invasive intervention compared with early intervention was 2.49 (95% CI 1.75–3.52; I2 = 0%; P < 0.00001).
Conclusion
These results showed the benefit of late interventions in patients with necrotizing pancreatitis in both minimally invasive procedures and open necrosectomy. Late intervention is preferred in the management of necrotizing pancreatitis.
A design strategy was developed, based on the KANO model, for health-centric and sustainable e-sports chair products. Specifically, this study investigated the functional requirements of e-sports ...chairs using interviews and questionnaires to guide their subsequent design. The functional requirements of the e-sports chair were evaluated using the KANO model. In addition, a satisfaction coefficient was introduced to optimize the traditional KANO model and to obtain the functional requirement classification of the e-sports chair. The sensitivity coefficient was used to evaluate whether the e-sports chair functions attract users. The research results show that users have clear functional requirements for e-sports chairs, and there is a significant correlation between satisfaction and sensitivity. Moreover, the adjustability and air permeability of the e-sports chair greatly improves user satisfaction, and the non-difference function can simplify the process by reducing production costs. This research develops a hierarchical model of demand for e-sports chairs and categorizes the results by essential, one-dimensional, attractive, non-differentiated, and sensitivity requirements. Furthermore, the main attributes of user preferences for e-sports chairs are explored, which provides a certain theoretical basis for the subsequent design and production of e-sports chairs.
The effects of a wavy wall on a hypersonic boundary layer of a flared cone are investigated using experimental measurements and direct numerical simulations (DNSs). Non-contact optical measurements ...using a focused laser differential interferometer (FLDI) show that a wavy wall can significantly suppress the second mode, and multiple perturbations of new frequencies are generated over the wavy surface, which agrees well with numerical results. Using Lagrangian tracking of marked particles, it is demonstrated that the wavy wall geometry can induce mean flow oscillations while exciting acoustic waves. The frequencies of the excited disturbances over a wavy wall agree with the classical Rossiter model. The superposition of a disturbance propagating downstream and an acoustic wave propagating upstream at the same frequency but with different amplitudes and propagation velocities results in a spatial distribution with a streamwise-oscillatory pattern over the wavy surface. A simple two-wave super-position model that takes into account the phase velocities and wavenumbers of the convective disturbance and acoustic wave can well describe the modal behavior of excited disturbances over a wavy wall.
Alternative splicing (AS) in the tumor biological process has provided a novel perspective on carcinogenesis. However, the clinical significance of individual AS patterns of adrenocortical carcinoma ...(ACC) has been underestimated, and in-depth investigations are lacking. We selected 76 ACC samples from the Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) SpliceSeq and SpliceAid2 databases, and 39 ACC samples from Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center (FUSCC). Prognosis-related AS events (PASEs) and survival analysis were evaluated based on prediction models constructed by machine-learning algorithm. In total, 23,984 AS events and 3,614 PASEs were detected in the patients with ACC. The predicted risk score of each patient suggested that eight PASEs groups were significantly correlated with the clinical outcomes of these patients (
p
< 0.001). Prognostic models produced AUC values of 0.907 in all PASEs’ groups. Eight splicing factors (SFs), including

Quercetin (QE) and resveratrol (RSV) are powerful antioxidants with the potential to protect the testes against ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury. We compared their effects in testicular ...torsion/detorsion (T/D) in adult rats. Twenty-four male Wistar rats were divided into four groups: sham (group A), T/D (group B), T/D treated with QE (group C), and T/D treated with RSV (group D). QE (20 mg kg-1) and RSV (20 mg kg-1) were injected intra-peritoneally at 60 min of torsion. After 90 rain of surgically induced torsion, the testicular cord was restored to its anatomical position. Twenty-four hour after torsion, blood and tissue samples were obtained for further examination. Testicular tissue malondialdehyde (MDA) and nitric oxide (NO) levels and serum total oxidant status (TOS) were higher in group B than in group A (P 〈 0.05). Group A had higher serum total antioxidant status (TAS) than group B. (P 〈 0.05) QE and RSV significantly lowered MDA, NO, and TOS levels and TAS consumption (P 〈 0.05). QE reduced the MDA and TOS levels more than RSV (P〈 0.05), but their effects on NO reduction and TAS consumption were similar (P〉 0.05). Group A had normal testicular architecture (grade 1). Groups C (mean grade 2.60) and D (mean grade 3.00) had lower testicular injury grades than group B (mean grade 3.45) (P 〈 0.05). Group C had lower testicular injury grade than group D (P 〈 0.05). Treatment with QE and RSV protects against I/R injury after testicular T/D. QE may exhibit better function than RSV at the doses tested in this study.

Background The purpose of this study was to investigate the feasibility of avoiding axillary lymph node dissection (ALND) for patients with only one sentinel lymph node (SLN) metastasis. The ...characteristics and predictive factors for non-sentinel lymph node (NSLN) metastasis of patients with single positive SLN were also analyzed. Methods Patients with no and only one SLN metastasis (OIn and 1In group, n ≥2) were selected from 1228 cases of invasive breast carcinoma, who underwent axillary dissection in Shandong Cancer Hospital between November 1999 and December 2011, to compare the characteristics of NSLN metastasis between them. For the 1In group, the factors that influenced the NSLN metastasis were analyzed by univariate and multivariate analysis. Results Differences of the NSLN metastasis between the OIn and the 1In groups were significant (P 〈0.001). There was no significant difference between the axillary lymph node metastasis on level III in 1In group and OIn group (P=0.570). When the total SLN number was 〉4 and with one positive case, the NSLN metastasis was not significantly different from that in the OIn group (P=-0.118). In the 1In group, clinical tumor size (P = 0.012), over-expression of Her-2 (P=0.003), tumor grade (P=0.018) and the total number of SLN (P=0.047) significantly correlated with non-SLN metastasis. Clinical tumor size (P=0.015) and the expression of Her-2 (P=0.01) were independent predictive factors for non-SLN metastasis by the Logistic regression model. Conclusion Under certain conditions, breast cancer patients with single SLN metastasis could avoid ALND.
Underground mining activities and rainfall have potential important influence on the initiation and reactivation of the slope deformations,especially on the steep rock slope. In this paper,using the ...discrete element method(UDEC),numerical simulation was carried out to investigate deformation features and the failure mechanism of the steep rock slope under mining activities and rainfall. A steep rock slope numerical model was created based on a case study at the Wulong area in Chongqing city,China. Mechanical parameters of the rock mass have been determined by situ measurements and laboratory measurements. A preliminary site monitoring system has been realized,aiming at getting structure movements and stresses of unstablerock masses at the most significant discontinuities. According to the numerical model calibrated based on the monitoring data,four types of operation conditions are designed to reveal the effect of mining excavation and extreme rainfall on the deformation of the steep rock slope.
