It is demonstrated that microdisk lasers about 10 μm in diameter with an active region based on InAs/InGaAs quantum dots synthesized on GaAs substrates can be used for biodetection. Chimeric ...monoclonal antibodies against the CD20 protein that are covalently attached to the surface of microdisk lasers operating in an aqueous medium under optical pumping and room temperature were used as detectable objects. It is shown that the addition of secondary antibodies leads to an increase in the threshold power of laser generation, as well as to an increase in the full width at half maximum (FWHM) of the resonance laser line.
The genre nature of the novel “Green House” by the Peruvian writer Mario Vargas Llosa is analyzed in the article. Special attention is paid to three approaches to the definition of the genre: “Green ...House” as a total novel, as a chivalric novel and as an Indianist novel. Definitions of each genre under consideration are given. The relevance of the study is due to the fact that the prevailing approaches to defining the genre of the “Green House” in contemporary Latin American studies is analyzed in the paper. In the course of the work seven stable characteristics of the total novel are distinguished: a radically realistic author’s intention, a clear structural organization of the text, compositional and semantic unity, the consciousness of the infinity of language, the comprehensiveness of the novel, nonlinearity of narration, and the use of dialogue as a structure-forming device. The question of the presence in the novel “Green House” of signs of a chivalric romance is considered. The results of a comparative analysis of the “Green House” and the Catalan novel “Tyrant White” are presented. A comparison of the structure of the “Green House” and the generalized structure of the Indianist novel is given, the key features of this genre are analyzed. It is concluded that in the case of the “Green House” it is impossible to come to genre definiteness. The authors dwell on the fact that “Green House” is a work of fiction that combines elements of different genres, without any other restrictions in interpretations, except for those directly rejected by the text.

This paper presents a brief overview of achievements in the field of microrobotics. The tasks that can be performed by mobile microrobots in space and the corresponding requirements for design and ...performance characteristics of such microrobots are formulated. The concept of a mobile space microrobot with thermomechanical silicon-polyimide actuators is proposed. The basic and technological feasibility of this concept are preliminary evaluated.

We have studied Hitperm-type and Finemet-type glass-coated microwires with a nanocrystalline structure. In Hitperm-type microwires where the nanocrystalline structure has been obtained directly after ...melt quenching using the Taylor–Ulitovsky fabrication technique, we observed rectangular hysteresis loops and studied the domain wall propagation. We measured and analyzed the switching field dependence on the frequency in as-prepared and annealed Hitperm-type microwires. A conventional annealing results in a drastic change of the frequency dependence of the switching field. This effect might be interpreted considering the stress relaxation process. We have also studied the correlation of magnetic properties, structure, and giant magnetoimpedance (GMI) effect in Finemet-type FeCuNbSiB microwires prepared by the Taylor–Ulitovsky technique. We observed that both GMI effect and magnetic softness of Finemet-type glass-coated microwires can be tailored by heat treatment, and after annealing a considerable magnetic softening of studied samples has been achieved. This magnetic softening correlates well with the devitrification of amorphous samples. Amorphous Fe-rich microwires exhibit a low GMI effect (GMI ratio below 1%). A considerable enhancement of the GMI effect (GMI ratio up to 100%) has been observed in heat-treated microwires developing a nanocrystalline structure.
The paper presents the results of investigation of surfaces with high adhesive ability to materials used in space technology. The object of the study was the so - called "dry" adhesive-polyimide. A ...method based on the use of the functionality of a scanning probe microscope was applied to estimate its adhesion properties. The method of applying polyimide to the probe of scanning probe microscope with the subsequent measurement of the force of "adhesion" by the method of force curves is developed. It is shown that the proposed "dry" adhesive has a great strength of the so-called. "adhesive strength" - 60-300 N/cm2. This makes possible its practical use in the spacecraft for fixing individual parts.
BACKGROUND
: Vitamin D (25-hydroxyvitamin D 25(ОН)D) deficiency (<20 ng/mL) and insufficiency (20–29 ng/mL) are common in primary hyperparathyroidism (PHPT), but data regarding the vitamin D ...metabolism in this population is limited.
AIM
: The aim of this study is to estimate the vitamin D metabolites and their relationship with the main parameters of phosphorus-calcium metabolism in patients with PHPT at baseline and on the background of a single dose of cholecalciferol 150,000 IU.
MATERIALS AND METHODS:
A single-center interventional, dynamic, prospective, comparative study has been carried out. The study included 54 participants, divided into two groups: the 1st group included 27 patients with confirmed PHPT, the 2nd control group (n = 27), matched on gender (p = 0.062). The study included 4 visits; the baseline laboratory examination and a bolus dose of cholecalciferol were performed at the visit 1, the subsequent visits included a dynamic laboratory examination.
RESULTS
: Vitamin D deficiency (<20 ng/ml) was detected in 69% of patients with PHPT. In the PHPT group (before cholecalciferol therapy), there was a direct association of 1.25(OH)

in patients with PHPT were 55% higher at baseline, and after taking of cholecalciferol 150,000 IU. They remained increased by 3–7 days by an additional 23–36%, significantly higher than those in the control group: 44%, 74% and 65%, at visits 2, 3 and 4, respectively (p<0.05). The taking of 150,000 IU cholecalciferol in the PHPT group did not lead to a significant increase in hypercalcemia and hypercalciuria, which indicates the safety of this dose in patients with mild hypercalcemia (albumin corrected calcium <3 mmol/l). None of the study participants experienced any side effects.
CONCLUSION
: The completely comprehensive assessment of vitamin D metabolites was carried out for the first time in patients with PHPT before and after using a bolus dose of cholecalciferol. The results confirmed the differences of vitamin D metabolism in chronic excessive secretion of PTH compared to control group, which is new data in the pathogenesis of the disease, and can be used to develop optimal regimens for cholecalciferol taking in this population.
Fatty acid (FA) composition of lipids from leaves and differentiated fleshy strobila tissues and sporangia with spores of Cycas (
Cycas revoluta
Thumb.) after their step quantitative extraction from ...plant material was investigated. Quantitative content and qualitative composition of FAs of extractable and nonextractable leaf lipids were determined. It was established that flesh lipids of sporophylls are characterized by a high saturation level and contain a considerable proportion of saturated FAs with the usual chain length (C

, 53–57%). At the same time, total amount of etherified FAs with a very long chain in lipids not extractable by the method of Zhukov and Vereshchagin exceeds several times that found in extractable lipids (~15 and ~4%, respectively). Neutral lipids of Cycas spores were represented by triacylglycerols, the lower-alkyl esters of FAs, free FAs, and sterol esters.
Physalis is a rare vegetable crop. Its fruits have high palatability and are characterized by a rich biochemical composition. They contain sugars, organic acids, macro-and microelements, ascorbic ...acid and other vitamins. The fruits of physalis contain pectin, which has a beneficial effect on the human body, removing radionuclides and salts of heavy metals. Three varieties of physalis were studied. The main selection criteria were taste, yield, chemical composition and suitability for growing in the Central Chernozem region. According to the results, the Korolek variety retains high organoleptic and nutritional properties after pickling.
