The first comprehensive one-volume collection of St.Thomas More's writing In this book, Wegemer and Smith assemble More's most important English and Latin works for the first time in a single volume. ...This volume reveals the breadth of More's writing and includes a comprehensive selection of his works on theology, political philosophy, and law, as well as his poetry and prose. It provides the most complete picture of More's work available and will serve as a major, foundational resource for early modern scholars, teachers, and students.
This Source Book brings together classic texts by and about Thomas More--poet, scholar, statesman, family man, educational reformer, philosopher, historian, and saint

Visitation to the major nature-based national parks has been declining. This paper specifies an econometric model that estimates the relative impact of consumer incomes, travel costs, entry fees and ...other factors on per capita attendance from 1993 to 2010. Results suggest that entrance fees have had a statistically significant but small impact on per capita attendance. Increasing fuel prices (travel costs) relative to income has had a more significant effect suggesting that park policies reducing the cost of attendance may be desirable.
A series of five Re(pyNHC‐aryl)(CO)3X complexes varying the “X” ligand where pyNHC is a pyridyl N‐heterocyclic carbene have been synthesized and characterized through NMR, UV/Vis absorption ...spectroscopy, IR, mass spectrometry, time‐correlated single photon counting, computational analysis, and cyclic voltammetry. The photocatalytic reduction of CO2 to CO in the presence of a sacrificial electron donor with these complexes is evaluated using a simulated solar spectrum (AM 1.5G). Comparison of Br and CH3CN as the “X” ligand shows the same photocatalytic activity (both 32 TON). The use of Cl, NCS and P(OEt)3 “X” ligands all led to diminished reactivity with as little as 2 TON for the P(OEt)3 complex. These results were rationalized through computational analysis of “X” dissociation and excited‐state lifetime measurements. These results highlight the importance of the “X” ligand selection on catalysis with Re‐pyNHC complexes.
An in‐depth look at a series of rhenium‐based photocatalysts with a pyridyl‐NHC ligand framework that facilitate the reduction of CO2 to CO. The importance of selecting an appropriate “X” ligand is described through detailed photocatalytic, electrochemical, computational, and photophysical studies which reveal a weakly binding “X” ligand is key to catalysis.
Abstract
Era Society 5.0, requires the logistics agents to adapt and follow technology development to create supply chain efficiency. One of the ways is to apply the IoT to warehousing activities, ...creating a system design Warehouse Tracking app that works to increase order picking time efficiency. This system design application method is using the System Development Live Cycle (SDLC) and follows Object-oriented programming (OOP). This final result study is a system design application based on the IoT and QR codes for operating order-tracking goods in a warehouse. With this Tracker Stuff (T-UFF) app, the time it takes for order picking will be decreased so that it can create activity-efficient logistics for the company.
In Thomas More's hugely influential Utopia, a traveller recounts his discovery of an island nation in which the inhabitants enjoy unprecedented social cohesion and justice. The book imagines a ...community in which laws, personal relations and professional ambition are based on reason, in contrast with the tradition-bound superstitions of Europe, which were, in More's eyes, impediments to equality and peaceful coexistence.
Solitude may be positive or negative, depending on situational and personal factors. From prior research, nine types of solitude were identified. Based on data from a questionnaire study of ...undergraduate participants, factor analysis suggests that these nine types can be reduced to three dimensions, two positive and one negative. These are, respectively, Inner-Directed Solitude (characterized by self-discovery and inner peace), Outer-Directed Solitude (characterized by intimacy and spirituality), and Loneliness. Personality and value correlates, as well as situational correlates, of the various types of solitude also were explored.
ABSTRACT**: This paper tests the crowding‐out hypothesis for a balanced panel of nonprofit performing arts organizations between 1998 and 2003. This research uses a number of model specifications ...and estimating techniques to appropriately capture the relationship between government grants and private donations. Under alternative specifications, the relationship between government grants and private donations suggests crowding‐in between $0.14 and $1.15. The crowd‐in relationship does change according to art type: symphony orchestras and music companies experience a modest crowd‐in while dance and ballet companies experience a small crowd‐out. Although the crowd‐in falls to zero under the strictest condition, there is a lack of evidence of crowd‐out for nonprofit performing arts organizations as a group.
