Perkembangan ilmu biologi menjadi pesat khususnya genetika yang mengakibatkan lonjakan berbagai eksperimen data genetika manusia sebagai pembawa informasi genetik untuk analisis pewarisan sifat dan ...duplikasi, serta untuk kegiatan forensik. Digitalisasi data genetika dibutuhkan untuk mempermudah penelitian dan pengembangan. Bioinformatika merupakan data hasil eksperimen dari laboratorium para peneliti ahli biologi molekuler ataupun biomedis untuk mempermudah pengolahan data genetika manusia dengan teknologi komputasi. Data digital dari genetika dapat disimpan dalam database dengan format tertentu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan langkah-langkah untuk digitalisasi data dari genetika manusia dari sampel biologi menjadi data digital. Bentuk dari data digital genetika manusia dapat digunakan untuk penelitian oleh para ahli biologi menggunakan perangkat lunak yang dapat membaca file dengan format FASTA. FASTA merupakan salah satu jenis file untaian dari beberapa jenis file format untaian protein yang tersedia di GenBank (database penyedia untaian protein). Data digital dari genetika akan dapat digunakan pada penelitian selanjutnya oleh ahli biologi tanpa harus mengambil sampel biologi.
Introduction: The importance of early screening for congenital metabolic diseases is well illustrated by hereditary fructose intolerance (HFI), in which the enzyme aldolase B is not synthesized ...normally in the organism due to a mutation in the ALDOB (9q31.1) gene, and so the breakdown of fructose- 1-phosphate is inadequate. Early diagnosis is essential in the selection of appropriate treatment, as soon as possible. Otherwise, constant intake of fructose into the body can lead to worsening of symptoms and liver damage, which can finally lead to death. Objective: The aim of our research is to facilitate the screening of hereditary fructose intolerance, thus making possible the selection of the correct treatment as soon as possible. For this purpose, we used bioinformatics and the help of an application we made. Methods: Bioinformatic analysis is designed to facilitate the comparison of the patient’s gene obtained by chromosomal sequencing with the nucleotide sequence of the healthy gene. The program we created can recognize and compare the sequence of the patient’s ALDOB gene with the normal one. In a further step, the program can create the mRNA of the introduced gene, and from this, the structure of the protein encoded by the tested gene. Results: The program written in C# can recognize the ALDOB gene introduced in FASTA format, and in case of any differences, it determines the exact positions these can be found, and the type of nucleotides that differ from the normal ones in the introduced sequence. Conclusion: Bioinformatic processing provides a reliable and quick solution for early screening of HFI, since the necessary genetic sampling can be done even on the first week after birth, thus contributing to the establishment of correct treatment. This could also reduce the frequency of complications of patients with HFI and the number of deaths recorded mainly in infants.
Pada awal tahun 2020 dunia digemparkan dengan tersebarnya wabah secara global yang menyerang pernapasan seperti wabah SARS pada tahun 2003, yaitu COVID-19. Virus penyebab wabah yang bernama SARS-Cov2 ...ini ternyata memiliki kemiripan ~87.5% dengan SARS-Cov. Kemiripan ini dapat digunakan untuk mengembangkan obat dan vaksin yang sesuai dengan virus yang sekarang. Dalam hal ini, pendekatan secara bioinformatika dapat dilakukan sebagai tahap awal pengembangan vaksin. Salah satu cara pengembangan vaksin adalah vaksin berbasis epitope. Data biologi yang tersedia dan diserahkan kepada publik terkait epitope Sel T dan sekuen protein pada virus dapat diolah dengan beberapa tool bioinformatika yang tersedia secara online. Makalah ini membandingkan perhitungan karakter physicochemical antara epitope SARS-Cov dan sekuen protein SARS-Cov2 pada lokasi yang sama. Karakter yang dibandingkan yaitu berat molekuler, titik isoelectric, indeks alifatik, GRAVY, indeks kestabilan, dan antigenisitas. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan matriks korelasi. Dari hasil pengolahan tersebut diketahui bahwa karakter physicochemical antara SARS-Cov dan SARS-Cov2 memiliki hubungan yang kuat.

The evolutionary history of species is traditionally represented using a rooted phylogenetic tree. However, when reticulate events such as hybridization, horizontal gene transfer or recombination are ...believed to be involved, phylogenetic networks that can accommodate non-treelike evolution have an important role to play. This book provides the first interdisciplinary overview of phylogenetic networks. Beginning with a concise introduction to both phylogenetic trees and phylogenetic networks, the fundamental concepts and results are then presented for both rooted and unrooted phylogenetic networks. Current approaches and algorithms available for computing phylogenetic networks from different types of datasets are then discussed, accompanied by examples of their application to real biological datasets. The book also summarises the algorithms used for drawing phylogenetic networks, along with the existing software for their computation and evaluation. The aims of this development research are to produce teaching materials in the form of bioinformatics module based on problem-based learning titled analysis of the potential of natural compounds in ...silico as drug candidates that meet the requirements for validity and practicality to be used in bioinformatics courses. The research method used is research and development method with ADDIE development model which consists of five stages. The validation test result by media experts, material experts, and field practitioners in sequentially obtained the percentage of 98.15%, 91.07%, and 95.97%. The practicality test results obtained a percentage of 87.46%. The conclusion of this development research is the bioinformatics module that has been developed has met the requirements of validity and practicality and can be used without revision.Abstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian pengembangan ini adalah untuk menghasilkan bahan ajar berupa modul bioinformatika berbasis problem-based learning berjudul analisis potensi senyawa alami secara in silico sebagai kandidat obat yang memenuhi syarat kevalidan dan kepraktisan untuk dapat digunakan pada matakuliah bioinformatika. Metode penelitian yang digunakan berupa metode penelitian dan pengembangan (research and development) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE yang terdiri atas lima tahapan. Hasil uji validasi oleh ahli media, ahli materi dan praktisi lapangan secara berurutan diperoleh persentase 98.15%, 91.07%, dan 95.97%. Hasil uji kepraktisan diperoleh persentase 87.46%. Kesimpulan dari penelitian pengembangan ini adalah modul bioinformatika yang telah dikembangkan telah memenuhi syarat kevalidan dan kepraktisan serta dapat digunakan tanpa perlu revisi.

Model pengembangan ADDIE digunakan karena langkahnya yang sistematis, detail, dan menghasilkan produk dengan mengaplikasikan konteks yang spesifik.

The solution is to use ...bioinformatics. Methods used for validation is to use a questionnaire validation to validator matter experts, media experts and validator validator individuals. The results of the validation of subject matter experts is 77,6 with a decent quality aspects categories, media expert is 89,5 with a very decent quality aspects categories and individual validator is 80,6 with a decent quality aspects categories. Therefore, to meet the criteria of an excellent book needs to do some revisions. Biologi sel adalah salah satu matakuliah wajib di Jurusan Biologi, dengan materi yang sangat banyak namun praktikum belum dilaksanakan karena keterbatasan biaya. Solusinya adalah dengan menggunakan bioinformatika. Metode yang dipergunakan untuk validasi adalah dengan menggunakan angket validasi untuk validator ahli materi, validator ahli media dan validator perorangan. Hasil validasi dari ahli materi adalah 77,6 dengan kategori aspek kualitas layak, ahli media adalah 89,5 dengan kategori aspek kualitas sangat layak dan validator perorangan adalah 80,6 dengan kategori aspek kualitas layak. Oleh karena itu, untuk memenuhi kriteria buku yang sangat baik perlu dilakukan beberapa revisi.

The purpose of this research is to produce research based textbook on Cell Biology of by using bioinformatics approaches. This study adapted the ADDIE development model. Feasibility of the textbook ...is based on the results of product testing by experts and small groups. Types of data collected is quantitative and qualitative data. The collected data have analyzed by quantitative and qualitative descriptive. The tests conducted by subject matter experts gave validity percentage of 93.15 %, an expert assessment of the media at 88.64 %, while a small group votes for 87.5 %. Based on the validation results, the textbook that has been developed is very valid and feasible to be used. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan buku ajar Biologi SEl dengan pendekatan Bioinformatika. Penelitian ini mengadaptasi model pengembangan ADDIE. Kelayakan buku ajar didasarkan pada hasil uji coba produk oleh tim ahli dan kelompok kecil. Jenis data yang dikumpulkan adalah data kuantitatif dan data kualitatif. Data yang telah terkumpul dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil validasi yang dilakukan oleh ahli materi memberikan nilai persentase kevalidan buku ajar sebesar 93.15%, penilaian dari ahli media sebesar 88.64%. sedangkan penilaian uji perorangan sebesar 87.5%. Berdasarkan hasil validasi maka buku ajar yang dikembangkan dikategorikan sangat valid dan layak untuk dipergunakan.
