The current low success level of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation stimulates the rise of research to find the critical success factor of it. One of the challenges of ERP ...implementation is to find a ‘fit’ between business and system requirements. It is claimed that standardizing business processes to follow the ERP system will positively impact organizations to follow the best practice process. However, there is another challenge that organization should not reengineer their business process to fit the ERP system, but rather modify or customize the ERP system to match their business process. This belief argues that standardizing business processes is not the right solution that applies to every organization since it can degrade an organization’s competitive advantages. Based on the background, the research aimed to construct a comprehensive review to succeed in implementing an ERP system, particularly on ERP modification, using a systematic literature review method. It was done by collecting and analyzing scientific publications related to ERP critical success factors with special attention to system modification. The literature review results in a comprehensive explanation of ERP modification. It includes elaborating on different types of misfit and customization to cultivate the understanding of ERP modification, a flowchart to analyze misfit to help the organization to evaluate modification requests, and critical success factors of modified ERP implementation.
Organizations seek to optimize their business processes and one of the best ways to achieve this objective is to implement an Enterprise Resource Planning system. ERP systems have evolved in recent ...decades to improve organizations' business processes and increase their performance. These systems have different and flexible characteristics and can provide growth and sustainability opportunities for large companies, but also for small and medium enterprises. This article addresses the major concerns about ERP systems and is supported by a systematic review of the literature over the last decade (2011-2021). The structure and organization of PRISMA 2020 were followed as methodological guide. Based on a systematic review of the literature, the seven scientific repositories surveyed, the number of publications per year, the editors, and authors most cited, the method categories of publications, the lifecycle stages are characterized and analyzed. Finally, the major concerns regarding ERP systems addressed in most relevant studies from the last decade are presented and discussed. The top five concerns that stood out were implementation, integration approaches, user participation, decision making, and risk management.
This paper reports on a literature review focusing on challenges during post-implementation of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems in a multinational context. Through an extensive literature ...search across multiple databases, we identified 20 articles which address issues in this context. Global demands prove to be a key challenge and source of conflict between parent and subsidiary companies: frequently, parent companies seek control through standardized solutions, while local subsidiaries aim to sustain local processes and routines. The primary focus is to shed light on these contradictive objectives unfolding in this context and identify research areas that need more attention in future ERP post-implementation research.

Supply Chain organizations in the present global environment operate in market that is increasingly complex and dynamic in nature. Sustainable supply chain becomes inevitable to meet the aggressive change in the customer requirements. Based on the reviews, it is revealed that manufacturing companies need to speed up in shifting the focus towards sustainability and make use of technology like ‘Internet of Things’ (IoT) to meet the organization’s goal. The objective of this research paper is to review the various aspects of SCM, ERP, IoT and Industry 4.0 and explore the potential opportunities available in IoT embedded sustainable supply chain for Industry 4.0 transformation. In this review, a comprehensive study on various factors, that affects the sustainable supply chain were analyzed and the results recorded. Based on the review, a framework for assessing the readiness of supply chain organization from various perspectives has been proposed to meet the requirements of the fourth Industrial Revolution. The conceptual framework model has been formulated from five important perspectives of supply chain management namely Business, Technology, Sustainable Development, Collaboration and Management Strategy. This study furnishes the criteria that can be assessed by companies to realize the readiness for industry 4.0 transformation.
This research examines the challenges of cloud enterprise resource planning (ERP) system adoptions in Small- and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) in literature. Cloud-ERP systems provide new ...opportunities for companies and make ERP systems more accessible to smaller companies beyond large enterprises (LEs). However, organizations are still experiencing challenges related to the adoption and implementation of cloud-based software and the use of new systems. Existing literature within this field of study mainly concentrates on the challenges of cloud-ERP adoptions in LEs. Relevant literature on the respective challenges experienced in SMEs is either relatively old or not addressing this topic exclusively. Hence, this research gap should be further studied to better understand and gain insight into the field. Based on the four phases of the Enterprise System Experience Cycle, we identify and classify the challenges addressing SMEs’ cloud-ERP adoptions in extant literature.
Although dry and hybrid‐style electrode technology has been well validated, systems utilizing these electrodes have not been widely adopted. One reason for this may be that the systems incorporating ...such technology present limitations that are fundamental to the EEG approach. The g.tec Unicorn Hybrid Black system, a low density Bluetooth EEG amplifier, however, attempts to address many of these limitations to allow greater flexibility to replicate methods used with traditional EEG amplifiers and extend them to more novel applications. The aim of the present investigation was to validate the g.tec Unicorn Hybrid Black amplifier to determine if it provides comparable data to a traditional laboratory‐based system when no electrode preparation is utilized or if a saline‐based solution is necessary to obtain sufficient signal quality. Stimulus‐locked ERPs and EEG power spectrum data were concurrently recorded using both the Unicorn Hybrid Black amplifier and a traditional high‐end laboratory‐based low‐impedance wired system. Findings suggest that the Unicorn Hybrid Black provides valid measures for investigations of frequency spectra even with no conductive solution applied. However, to obtain valid assessments of event‐related brain potentials, it appears necessary to use a conductive solution for electrode preparation. This system appears well suited to allow for high‐quality and flexible EEG measures available outside of traditional laboratory environments.
This work assessed the extent to which the g.tec Unicorn Hybrid Black wireless EEG system—a highly portable and relatively inexpensive system—provides a valid measure of EEG activity. Our findings indicate that this system provides valid measures for investigations of frequency spectra even with no conductive solution applied. However, the use of a conductive solution for electrode preparation is preferable for valid assessments of event‐related brain potentials.
Intact cognitive control is critical for goal-directed behavior and is widely studied using the error-related negativity (ERN). A common assumption in such studies is that ERNs recorded during ...different experimental paradigms reflect the same construct or functionally equivalent processes and that ERN is functionally distinct from other error-monitoring event-related brain potentials (ERPs; error positivity Pe), other neurophysiological indices of cognitive control (N2), and even other theoretically unrelated indices (visual N1). The present registered report represents a replication-plus-extension study of the psychometric validity of cognitive control ERPs and evaluated the convergent and divergent validity of ERN, Pe, N2, and visual N1 recorded during flanker, Stroop, and Go/no-go tasks. Data from 182 participants were collected from two study sites, and ERP psychometric reliability and validity were evaluated. Findings supported replication of convergent and divergent validity of ERN, Pe, and ΔPe (error minus correct)-these ERPs correlated more with themselves across tasks than with other ERPs measured during the same task. Convergent validity of ΔERN across tasks was not replicated, despite high internal consistency. ERN strongly correlated with N2 at levels similar or higher than those in support of convergent validity for other ERPs, and the present study failed to provide evidence of divergent validity for ERN and Pe from N2 or N1. ERN and ΔERN were unrelated to internalizing or externalizing symptoms. Findings underscore the importance of considering the psychometric validity of ERPs, as it provides a foundation for interpreting and comparing ERPs across tasks and studies.
Conventionally, event-related brain potentials (ERPs) are obtained by averaging a number of single trials. This can be problematic due to trial-to-trial latency variability. Residue iteration ...decomposition (RIDE) was developed to decompose ERPs into component clusters with different latency variability and to re-synchronize the separated components into a reconstructed ERP.
RIDE has been continuously upgraded and now converges to a robust version. We describe the principles of RIDE and detailed algorithms of the functional modules of a toolbox. We give recommendations and provide caveats for using RIDE from both methodological and psychological perspectives.
RIDE was applied to several data samples to demonstrate its ability to decompose and reconstruct latency-variable components of ERPs and to retrieve single trial variability information. Different functionalities of RIDE were shown in appropriate examples.
RIDE employs several modules to achieve a robust decomposition of ERP. As main innovations RIDE (1) is able to extract components based on the combination of known event markers and estimated latencies, (2) prevents distortions much more effectively than previous methods based on least-square algorithms, and (3) allows time window confinements to target relevant components associated with sub-processes of interest.
RIDE is a convenient method that decomposes ERPs and provides single trial analysis, yielding rich information about sub-components, and that reconstructs ERPs, more closely reflecting the combined activity of single trial ERPs. The outcomes of RIDE provide new dimensions to study brain-behavior relationships based on EEG data.
