Parliamentary Diplomacy in European and Global Governance offers a detailed interdisciplinary study of a new global phenomenon: the rise and impact of parliamentary diplomacy in European, regional ...and world affairs.
The feeling of optimism that followed the COP 21 Paris Conference on Climate Change requires concrete action and steadfast commitment to a process that raises a number of crucial challenges: ...technological, political, social, and economic. As climate change worsens, new robust leadership is imperative. This title examines why a close collaboration between the EU and China may result in the necessary impetus to solidify a vision and a roadmap for our common future in the Anthropocene.

Vzrok za to, da nocoj gostimo dr. Tineta Hribarja, dr.
Pogovor v studiu vodi Barbara Zrimšek, gostje: dr. Tine Hribar, filozof, dr. France Bučar, panevropsko gibanje, njegova ekscelenca Erwan Fouéré, veleposlanik Evropske komisije v Sloveniji, dr. Mojmir Mrak, ožja pogajalska skupina in Franci But, minister za kmetijstvo. Izjava dr.

This volume investigates the public opinion of the EU in the context of the present economic crisis and other significant challenges currently faced by the Union, the latest being the refugee crisis. ...Scholarly knowledge in the field of EU attitudes in general and Euroscepticism in particular is thoroughly documented here, and is followed by an analysis of public perceptions of the EU's crisis management capabilities, proving that the EU's legitimacy and effectiveness are currently being challenged to the highest degree. The research-based contribution of this book is two-fold, focusing on EU attitudes at a macro-level on one hand, and the opinions of Romanian experts on the other. It provides insights into attitudes towards the EU in Central and Eastern Europe, a region which is still somewhat underexplored by social sciences scholars, and in Romania in particular. On a larger scale, significant differences between clusters of states are identified, suggesting that not even increasing Euroscepticism manages to create a common frame of reference for all Europeans regarding EU-related issues. In terms of Romanian expert opinion, the book provides evidence for a gradual evolution from highly symbolic and sometimes even triumphalist representations of the EU towards mildly critical positions, based on instrumental perceptions. Such changes mark a new stage of Europeanization, in which the EU's presence has become ordinary. For the Eastern European elite, increased familiarity with the EU accommodates demitization and criticism without denouncing European integration as a doomed project.

What gives European governments the strength to persevere with the EU, when it seems that European citizens are losing enthusiasm (Jurij Gustinčič commenting on the ...European Union)?

This volume investigates the challenges confronted by the European Union (EU) as an international actor deeply influenced by migration. This has been a key phenomenon in recent years and holds great ...political, economic and social importance for the future of the whole European continent. The book focuses on specific aspects related to East-West migration, such as the importance of migration for economic development and the multi-faceted impact of migration on sending countries, as well as recipient countries. It also includes an overview of the myriad of reasons which stand for the fundamental decision whether to emigrate or not. The collection offers a novel Eastern European perspective on contemporary migration, a hotly debated topic inside the European Union, which is far from being fully recognised and understood, and it also provides valuable, complex and comprehensive insight into the issue of South Eastern migration to Western Europe.
Autor se u ovom radu bavi analizom aktualne fiskalne politike i pokušajem konsolidacije javne potrošnje, te sugerira fiskalnu politiku imanentnu tržišnom privređivanju u vrijeme globalne finansijske ...krize. Nosioci monetarne i fikalne politike danas u BiH nepoduzimaju značajnije mjere u cilju poticanja rasta i razvoja.
