This paper explores the role of manufacturing execution systems (MES) with ISA 95 functionalities for the reconfigurability in a manufacturing enterprise. The work is aimed at supporting ...digitalization based on Industry 4.0 and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) concepts. For this, we use the quality function deployment method to link ISA 95 MES functionalities and reconfigurability needs, based on a case example of a cyber-physical factory (AAU Smart Lab). Accordingly, we present a framework to assess reconfigurability for smart factory development. The paper identifies reconfigurability approaches using IIoT connected MES/MOM for tackling severe market disruptions (e.g. the one caused by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic).
Companies are facing increasing pressure to optimize their energy supply. On the one hand, rising procurement costs are a factor - driven by a shortage of raw materials and legal regulations aimed at ...minimizing greenhouse gas emissions (e.g., CO 2 pricing), with the current geopolitical situation also increasingly fuelling the pressure to act. On the other hand, the optimization of energy supply also serves the purpose of meeting the requirements of customers and society for sustainable production. One field of action that is still in its infancy in practical use is the exploitation of energy flexibility potential in discrete manufacturing. This is not least because tools for exploiting energy flexibility potentials (e.g., taking advantage of fluctuating prices on short-term electricity markets, providing system services on the balancing energy markets, or increasing the share of self-consumption from on-site generated renewable energy have so far tended to represent stand-alone solutions that have not yet been implemented in conventional ERP or MES systems.)This paper aims to provide an insight into potential business models for the use of energy flexibility in discrete production, to assess the market potential for this and to show why integration into existing systems across all levels of automation is essential.
Two novel series of 3,4-dihydroisoquinolin with heterocycle derivatives (
-
and
-
) were synthesized and evaluated for their anticonvulsant activity using maximal electroshock (MES) test and ...pentylenetetrazole (PTZ)-induced seizure test. All compounds were characterized by IR, ¹H-NMR,
C-NMR, and mass spectral data. Among them, 9-(exyloxy)-5,6-dihydro-1,2,4triazolo3,4-
isoquinolin-3(2
)-one (
) showed significant anticonvulsant activity in MES tests with an ED
value of 63.31 mg/kg and it showed wide margins of safety with protective index (PI > 7.9). It showed much higher anticonvulsant activity than that of valproate. It also demonstrated potent activity against PTZ-induced seizures. A docking study of compound
in the benzodiazepine (BZD)-binding site of γ-aminobutyric acid
(GABA
) receptor confirmed possible binding of compound
with the BZD receptors.
Background/Objectives: This paper is a study on a system that standardizes processes based on smart virtual production technology strategy for manufacturing line design and development, and ...integrates new or existing resources and systems into one consistent and structured framework.Methods/Statistical analysis: In this paper, we standardize the process based on the digital virtual production technology strategy for manufacturing line design and development. A system that integrates new or existing resources and systems into a single, unified framework. Through this system, various events participating in the development of the manufacturing line can receive standardized work progress and communication in one consistent system. In addition, we standardized and library the scattered data to minimize the loss of data management.Findings: Users across a wide range of areas can quickly and easily perform line development from line planning to design, setup and optimization based on standardized processes and an intuitive user experience. By providing analysis results in conjunction with heterogeneous analysis engines, you can perform solution-independent business processes. The effectiveness of the proposed system was verified by applying the proposed system to the actual new and expansion manufacturing line and redesign line in the company and performing line development work.Improvements/Applications: Through this study, it is expected that the actual field data of MES (Manufacturing Execution System) and the information of planning system such as ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) can be linked to the integrated decision support system of engineering solution.

Optimization of the previously reported benzothiazine analogue A led to the identification of compound 1, which showed anti-convulsant activity in two golden standard animal models of ...seizure, the MES and scPTZ models. Structure-activity relationship investigation of compound 1 revealed compounds 2, 6 and 19 as attractive anti-epileptic drug (AED) candidates with potent anticonvulsant effect in both the MES and scPTZ models. As these compounds are structurally different from existing AEDs, determination of their mechanism of actions could provide clues to understanding current therapy-resistant seizures. Moreover, these simple phenylsulfoneamide compounds could be good starting points for searching broad spectrum AEDs by such in vivo screening.
This paper presents a buffer-embedded noise-shaping SAR ADC, which separates the capacitive DAC (CDAC) and the sampling capacitor (C S ) placed at the input and output of input buffer. This ...compensates the nonlinearity of the input buffer and enables C S value to be reduced, thus leading to significant power saving. An energy efficient 2 nd -order noise-shaping is realized using passive integrators with the C S and the mismatch of CDAC is mitigated by error shaping techniques. Implemented in a 65 nm CMOS process, the ADC achieved 73.8 dB SNDR, 77 dB DR, and 87.3 dB SFDR in a 2 MHz bandwidth without any calibration. It consumes only 2.13 mW including the input buffer.
► Native LF is prone to aggregation below pH 5.5. ► LF can be immobilized onto NHS-activated agarose without loss of function or zinc. ► Decrease in LF activity near pH 6 does not correlate with ...change of metal content. ► LF’s zinc ion dissociates between pH 4 and 5.
Translocation of the zinc-dependent metalloendopeptidase anthrax lethal factor (LF) from the endosome to the cytosol requires an acidic endosomal milieu. In the current study, we utilized immobilized (to prevent protein aggregation below pH 5.5) and native LF to assess the effect of pH on the function and metal content of LF. Our results reveal the diminution of LF's catalytic competence under moderately acidic conditions (pH ∼6) to be uncorrelated to the metal content of the protein. However, a significant degree of demetallation of LF (∼30%) was observed at pH values close to those found in late endosomes (pH ∼5), thus raising the possibility that a substantial proportion of LF molecules may not be in their zinc-bound state prior to translocation.

The using of zeolite/magnetite composite as a catalyst for the synthesis of methyl esters (MES) of cooking oil has been performed. In this study the natural magnetite was extracted from the iron sand ...of Semarang marina beach and milled by high energy Milling (HEM) with ball: magnetite ratio: 1:1. The composites prepared from natural zeolite and natural magnetite with zeolite: magnetite ratio 1:1; 2:1; 3:1 and 4:1. Preparation of methyl ester was catalyzed by composite of zeolite/magnetite through transeserification reaction, it was studied on variation of catalyst concentration (w/v) 1%, 3%, 5% and 10% to feed volume. The reaction product are mixture of methyl Oleic (MES), methyl Palmitic (MES) and methyl Stearic (MES). Character product of this research include density, viscosity, acid number and iodine number has fulfilled to SNI standard 7182: 2015.
A switching scheme to realize 2nd-order digital-to-analog converter (DAC) mismatch error shaping (MES) technique in the high-resolution noise shaping successive approximation register ...analogue-to-digital converters (NS SAR ADCs) is proposed. By feeding back the combination of the least significant bit (LSB) DAC mismatch errors in two previous cycles, the DAC mismatch error is 2nd-order shaped. The scheme only requires an extra reference voltage and triples LSB DAC, which leads to simple control logic. According to the simulation, the spurious-free dynamic range is improved 10 dB more than the 1st-order MES.
