This paper presents a research project that uses Factory I/O controlled by TIA portal software to simulate automated parcel sorting and handling at the parcel sorting station. The development of the ...automated system aims to overcome delays caused by customer-increasing demand for online shopping. The TIA Portal controller is connected to the Factory I/O to control and support recreating industrial automation environments. The realistic 3D models and sensors, conveyor belts, and palletizing stations are used to sort and handle parcels corresponding to size. This study demonstrates improvement in parcel sorting operational efficiency which helps to speed up the delivery process. It also concludes that a virtual parcel sorting system environment can give the option to enhance flexibility and allow for quick responses to any issues related to online courier services. This study helps to streamline package handling and provides practical answers for the digital era of online buying which can reduce human interaction with the machine and make the working environment safer.

According to FreshFruit in the period 2023 the production of Tahitian lemons was 13 515 tons for USD 14 million being one of the most important citrus fruits in the Peruvian economy. This work ...develops an automated system for the classification of Tahiti lemons by size and maturity grade from green to yellow. For the simulation of the classification of Tahiti lemons by size from 3 to 6 cm, the bottleneck was determined by direct observation and then the mechanical system was programmed for the classification by size and degree of maturity through the detection of color by HSV to classify Tahiti lemons greater than 10% damage or by maturity, and then obtain the simulation in Factory IO and TIA PORTAL with connection to PLC S7-1200 1214 DC/DC/DC and a HMI TP700. Finally, the grading proposal was implemented in which 100% of the Tahiti lemons were recognized and packed for export through the interactive HMI screen, being able to classify and count them automatically, which has a graphical environment for the operator to manipulate them.
According to Midagri, cherimoya production in Peru was 20 thousand tons, being one of the most consumed fruits and difficult to meet quality standards in the selection stage due to its rapid ...ripening. This work develops an automated system for the classification of cherimoyas according to the degree of ripeness and size. For the simulation of cherimoya grading, the bottleneck was determined by direct observation and then the algorithm was programmed using the neural network and trained in YOLO V5 to recognize the external characteristics of cherimoya in green, ripe stage, so a mechanical system was considered for the classification by size, to then obtain the simulation in Factory IO and TIA PORTAL with connection to PLC S7-1200 1214 DC/DC/DC and a HMI TP700. Finally, the classification proposal was implemented in which 100% of the cherimoyas were recognized through the interactive HMI screen, being able to classify them in state, green, ripe, small and then automatically count them in 25 units per box, which has a graphical environment so that the operator can manipulate it.

This work develops an automated system for the classification of blueberries by size and degree of maturity. For the simulation of the classification of blueberries by size from 10 mm to 14 mm and above, the bottleneck was determined by direct observation and then the mechanical system was programmed for the classification by size and then the colour detection was performed by HSV to classify blueberries over 10 mm by maturity, and then obtain the simulation in Factory IO and TIA PORTAL with connection to PLC S7-1200 1214 DC/DC/DC and a HMI TP700. Finally, the sorting proposal was implemented in which 100 % of the blueberries were recognised by means of the interactive HMI screen, being able to automatically sort and count them, which has a graphic environment for the operator to manipulate.
The 18-hole King Kong bricks represent 55.8% of the material used in the construction of houses in Peru, the brick companies lack temperature controls since the OEFA paralyzed the brick activities ...due to excessive contamination in the firing stage. This work develops an automatic and manual temperature control system to improve production times in the company "Ladrillera El Toro S.A.C". For the mechanical design, SolidWorks was used to place the entry gates of the bricks to the kiln, which inside the kiln thermocouples were installed to monitor temperatures in real time by programming blocks using TIA PORTAL connection adding a PLC S7-1200 1214 DC/DC/DC and a HMI TP700. Finally implementing the improvement proposal eliminated 1 day of assembly in artisan doors and has an adequate management of the required temperature of 950 degrees Celsius for the firing of the bricks having the manual and automatic option that allows to control the sawdust and chips once reached the temperature programmed by the operator, allowing to increase production and eliminating the bottlenecks of the company "Ladrillera El Toro S.A.C.".

For the simulation of the classification of ripe, unripe and overripe avocados, the bottleneck was determined by direct observation and then the neural network was programmed using roboflow software and the recognition of Hass avocados was trained in YOLO V5, to then obtain the simulation in Factory IO and TIA PORTAL with connection to PLC S7-1200 1214 DC/DC/DC and a HMI TP700. Finally the proposal of classification was implemented in which a 100% recognition of the avocados was obtained by means of the interactive screen of HMI, being able to classify it in an automatic way and to count them, which has a graphical environment so that the operator to manipulate, eliminating the bottleneck and increasing productivity in the sorting process.

This paper presents the pneumatic control system widely used in manufacturing process. This is a technology that uses the power of compressed air to create mechanical motion. The purpose of this work ...is to improve existing manufacturing system with simple control of pneumatic actuators. To do this is necessary to extend the simple control with adding functions to collect data for diagnostics. Such data can be used for estimating remaining lifetime of a pneumatic cylinder during preventive maintenance or replacement. Challenge in front the solution is to be compatible with several of automation systems using PLCs and easy for multiplication in laboratory equipment and real manufacturing environment and assembly systems.
