This paper describes the general concepts of controlling liquid flows and capacity in tanks as this process is useful in the automation industrial field. The proposed system is implemented with simple equipment in order to demonstrate the concept of the process and how it is controlled.

The function, principle, hardware composition and software design of the whole control system are introduced in detail. Combined with Siemens PLC, the weight, valve switch or opening and feeding speed of nine metering tanks are monitored in real time, and the uniform feeding speed of nine metering tanks is realized. Details of each feed are stored in the database of SQL Server 2005. Finally, the database query software is compiled with C # to generate electronic reports that can be queried according to conditions.
