Since the beginning of this decade, which corresponds to the processes of an accelerated political, social and economic opening to the European and global environment, the Republic of Croatia has ...become aware of the need for deep reforms to enable the creation of permanently sustained success of its national economy. In this context, the creation of conditions for efficiency in existing business entities, and the shaping of new and effective institutions, is becoming the central question for all of the necessary changes. It is also the same from the aspect of success in achieving individual reforms and their synergistic power and value. Besides subjective value judgments and a feeling about the degree of change that has been achieved, objective parameters of success are measured and observed in individual value scales that have become generally accepted regional, European and global standards. Since 1979, one standard has been the ranking of the World Economic Forum (WEF), in which Croatia has been included 2002. Croatia has been included n the rankings of the IMD rankings, which began in 1989, since 2006. At the same time, Croatia’s position has begun to be evaluated in other important rankings that measure the effectiveness of individual countries, such as Doing Business (the World Bank), the Index of Economic Freedom (the Heritage Foundation), the Bertelsmann Transformation Index (Bertelsmann Foundation), the Corruption Perceptions Index (Transparency International), the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (London Business School and Babson College), which are the leading and most recognized in a social and economic context.
Razumjeti sadašnje i buduće potrebe tržišta te znati ih ispuniti, zadatak je svake uspješne ekonomije. Da bi poduzeća uvijek bila u koraku s razvojem suvremene ekonomije, ona nastoje organizacijski, ...tehnološki i informatički preorijentirati svoje poslovanje u cilju povećanja učinkovitosti poslovanja poduzeća. Upravo, adekvatno uspostavljen i organiziran sustav internih kontrola, dizajniranje odgovarajuće i nadasve efikasne organizacijske strukture također predstavlja jedan od izazova modernog poduzeća pa je kombinacija sustava internih kontrola i profitnih centara, sustav koji međusobnim djelovanjem svodi mogućnost pogrešaka i mogućih pronevjera na minimum te je preduvjet učinkovitog poslovanja.
This paper proposes an approach based on ANN-QPSO (artificial neural network based on quantum-behaved particle swarm optimization) to evaluate integrated business efficiency of enterprise. It uses ...QPSO to train the neural network to overcome local-best solution in training process. We use a test example with 35 listed enterprises to show the feasibility and efficiency of the approach.

profit per worker and the rate of profit. In this study we focused on the area of
Posavina in BiH, as an area of intensive agricultural production. In this area the
agricultural production is represented as a significant economic activity and has
significant development potential. The selected indicators showed that most types
of agricultural production had a relatively good results, which says that agricultural
production can be profitabale. Therefore, it is of great importance to make the shift
from traditional agricultural production based on the production of crops, to more
acumulative and profitable activities. The aproach should be to support the gradual
redirection of activities, resources, labor force, from less competitive, to more
competitive activities.
Este artículo analiza el efecto de la inversión en intangibles sobre la eficiencia de las grandes empresas exportadoras localizadas en España. Para ello, y a partir de los datos del Registro ...Mercantil correspondientes al año 2000, se ha investigado una amplia muestra de empresas, segmentada entre empresas exportadoras y empresas sin presencia en los mercados exteriores. Los resultados obtenidos permiten confirmar que la presencia en los mercados internacionales de estas empresas viene acompañada de una mayor inversión en activos intangibles. En concreto, se observa como la acumulación de activos inmateriales conlleva ganancias relevantes en la eficiencia y la productividad de los recursos empresariales. Por otra parte, este efecto positivo no es ajeno al tipo de actividad desarrollada, principalmente en el caso de las ramas de actividad intensivas en el uso del conocimiento. This paper analyses the effects of the investment in intangibles on the efficiency of large exporting companies located in Spain. From the data of the Mercantile Register in 2000, a wide sample of companies has been analysed. The sample has been segmented into exporting or non-exporting firms. The results show that the presence of these companies in the international markets is accompanied by a higher investment in intangible assets. The conclusion to be drawn is that the accumulation of intangible assets derives in relevant gains of efficiency and productivity of the managerial resources. This positive effect is also related to the activity branch, particularly in the case of the knowledge-intensive activities.

Autori u radu nastoje dokazati da ljudi, njihov stalni razvoj i korištenje njihovih potencijala postaju glavni nositelj poslovnog uspjeha te da strategijsko upravljanje ljudskim potencijalima vodi ka boljim rezultatima kroz unapređenje vodstva, porast radnog učinka i odanosti zaposlenika, povećanje broja inovacija i stvaranje novog poslovnog ambijenta u kojemu inovacije postaju pokretač razvoja.
The International Financial Services (IFS) industry is restructuring internally and by location. This paper outlines the economic forces and analytical methods that may be applied to examine the ...economic drivers of these processes as ever more countries and cities are vying for attracting IFS providers and their clients. The ICT revolution has made those IFS that can be commoditized footloose in search of cost efficiency. High value-added services, however, will continue to be developed and co-ordinated in a few major IFS centers that have invested in, or capitalized on, regional or global advantages for themselves and their clients. This fragmentation and geographic dispersion of the industry by service function and sophistication may facilitate analyses of the comparative economic efficiency of particular financial services by methods such as stochastic frontier analysis.
Uloga praćenja kupaca, odnosno poznavanja njihovih želja i načina ponašanja, postala je važnija no ikada. Globalna ponuda i dostupnost različitih roba i usluga bez obzira na fizičku lokaciju ...„razmazili“ su kupce neovisno o spolu, dobi, obrazovanju ili iskustvu. Prednost dobavljivosti i instant dostave postali su ključ uspješnosti, a samo vrhunski poslovni subjekti uspijevaju, posebno u naglašeno elastičnim ponudama, osigurati vjerne kupce koji se vraćaju. Informacijsko-komunikacijska tehnologija igra značajnu ulogu u tom procesu. S težnjom poduzeća ka digitalizaciji te digitalnoj transformaciji, kupac zaista mora zauzeti središnje mjesto. Tehnologija ulazi u službu nadzora i praćenja te učenja o preferencijama svakog kupca. S druge strane dostupnost podataka o potrošačkim navikama može biti iskorištena samo njihovim optimalnim prikupljanjem, obradom te prikazom odnosno upotrebom informacija u poslovnom procesu. Često, logično rješenje ovog izazova jest u CRM IT alatima. Autori rada, uz pregled dostupne literature o CRM sustavima kao centralom mjestu za unaprjeđenje odnosa s potrošačima, uzimaju praktični primjer (case study) u realnom okruženju. Na primjeru poduzeća za prevoditeljske usluge analizira se implementacija Odoo CRM aplikativnog rješenja otvorenog koda uz sve prednosti i nedostatke koje isto donosi.
