This paper has described an ...Internet-based teaching and experiment system for control engineering (ITESCE) that provides students with online course material, a simulator, an online control experiment using an arm robot, and the ability to store and search simulation and experimental results. To implement the functions required by the course and to facilitate connection to the Internet, the ITESCE is based on a standard browser/server architecture with three layers and employs multithreading, Java applets, and Java database connectivity. Background control subsystems handle the real-time control of experiments, and a network server handles communication with clients and with background control subsystems. A database stores simulation and experimental results. The course covers a variety of control methods, and students can try them out through online simulations and experiments. To enhance realism, a Web camera takes a video of an experiment and streams it to a student's PC in real time.
New production line management technologies are required and adopted recently with the development of modern manufacturing industry. In this study, a production line three-dimensional (3D) ...visualization monitoring system based on OpenGL modeling, open database connectivity (ODBC), and database management technology is established on a VC++6.0 platform to satisfy effective production. A client/server model is adopted in the system, and data on processing information, interactive operation, and failure process are stored in the server side database. A client reads the workpiece process information from the server, and the machining process of every workpiece is visually represented in the form of 3D visualization. Production line 3D visualization provides production capacity simulation to optimize the parameter settings. When compared with the analysis results of production line capacity, the key parameters possess the same optimal values, and this proves the accuracy of production line 3D visualization monitoring system. The system provides effective data support for production line monitoring and management in enterprises.

First, the institution's database administrator (DBA) imports the student tables provided with the Teaching Notes into the institution's SQL Server with read-only access. In Access, students create ODBC connections to the SQL Server student tables. Then, students create Access queries using the ODBC-linked tables to monitor for anomalies. During a scheduled week, the DBA, in coordination with the faculty member, enters anomalies in the SQL Server student tables at random times, and students run their Access queries to identify the anomalies.

In our project, we are going to build such application where people can easily check the required vegetables and buy them according to their requirements. For developing any application, we need front end and backend part. In our application for developing the backend part, spring boot with rest controller, JPA hibernate and oracle for database managementare used. To develop the business logic in application, core JAVAand JPA with hibernate are used. Swagger also known as open API intiative, is a framework used to import our API format and convert it into Json format. It can perform actions related to APIprocess. Swagger is also used for the documentation purpose. JDBC is used to connect our application to the oracle databse and manage its operations.
There has been a proliferation of photographs during the last two decades. The number of photographs of human faces accessible has exploded in recent years, thanks in large part to the proliferation ...of smartphones and the rise in popularity of selfies. This has led to a surge in research into methods for accurately determining a person age and gender solely from a photograph of the face. This research work intends to tackle this intricate challenge. Specifically, this study examines methods for determining a person's age, gender, and other characteristics based only on a static portrait of their face. Distinct models are trained to perform each task and compare the results of utilizing pre-trained CNN (Convolutional Neural Network) designs like VGG16 and ResNet50 and SE-ResNet50 on the VGGFace2 dataset to train the features collected by these networks. In addition to sharing the best practices to perform feature extraction using machine learning, this study also provides a benchmark performance analysis on several techniques. Even the most basic linear regression can be trained so that the extracted data performs better, however, CNNs were trained from scratch for age estimation.

This system provides an efficient way to archive these data so as to reduce the space and time complexity of the current process also helps to resolve the challenges faced in data comparison between various heterogeneous platforms like Hive, MySQL and Redshift which have different structure and syntax for processing the data.

The work in this paper involves the planning, design and implementation of a mobile learning system called Nahrain Mobile Learning System (NMLS). This system provides complete teaching resources, ...which can be accessed by the students, instructors and administrators through the mobile phones. It presents a viable alternative to Electronic learning. It focuses on the mobility and flexibility of the learning practice, and emphasizes the interaction between the learner and learning content. System users are categorized into three categories: administrators, instructors and students. Different learning activities can be carried out throughout the system, offering necessary communication tools to allow the users to communicate with each other through forums, SMS and e-mails. NMLS platform is based on 3G mobile phone technology and adopted WAP as a solution for the system platform. The NMLS framework is based on three layers, which are presentation layer, business logic layer and data layer.
This paper describes how the open source database software MySQL and Java Database Connectivity (JDBC) are used in new teaching methods for undergraduate Database Systems courses. Traditionally, the ...content of these courses include database design and an implementation using SQL. The wide spread use of database in ecommerce demands a different approach for teaching students, who, are not only interested in database, but also in programming database in Web application development. We have complementarily blended SQL and Java to enhance students’ learning and understanding of Database Systems and its programming. The lab component uses MySQL which can be installed on different operating systems. Java is used for building GUIs and transaction processing in the term project. Database connectivity and transaction processing via embedding SQL statements in Java are achieved using JDBC and MySQL Connector/J driver. Course components are evaluated based on feedback from students who completed the course.
With the growth in the popularity of the World Wide Web (WWW), there is a need to provide education and hands-on training to students in preparing materials for presentation on the Web, developing ...client and server-side software, and building Web-based applications. Employers seek candidates who are proficient in computer languages and tools used on the WWW. Courses on Web programming are in great demand. This paper presents the details of a course the author has developed on Web languages and Web-based applications. Key features of the course are 1) teaching of diverse Web languages and technologies using a program completion strategy, 2) discussion of Web-based applications involving database access and electrical/mechanical measuring instruments, and 3) long individual student projects and seminars.
