Several studies and statistics have indicated that non-hydrocarbon exports in Algeria represent a low rate of around 5% of total exports. This weakness means that the Algerian economy is fragile, ...which depends on the prices of hydrocarbons (oil, gas) which is unstable on the international market. Several factors are the cause of the situation of Algerian exports which remain difficult to identify. This ambiguity has led us to dig into the field of investigation to get closer to the reality of the reasons that justify this lack of diversity in exports. The main objective of our study is therefore to measure the performance of Algerian economic diplomacy in the promotion of non-hydrocarbon exports. We treated our subject of research by using a methodology with an exploratory design of qualitative order on a sample of Algerian exporting companies which have an experience of more than ten years in the field of exports established in the region of Oran- Algeria. To process the results of our research, we used the method of content analysis of the interviews we conducted with exporters. Our sample has identified important elements in contribution to other previous research on this subject which has dealt with the subject of exports in Algeria but which has not resulted in the role of economic diplomacy in the promotion of exports. the results that we have obtained from our empirical study can be generalized, they reveal a definition of the activity of non-hydrocarbon exports in Algeria and the role of Algerian economic diplomacy in the promotion and supervision of these exports then the shortcomings of economic diplomacy in the field of exports at the end of the results we recommended measures that must be implemented to have an effective economic diplomacy that can contribute to increasing and promoting diversified exports.

Economic diplomacy, using relations and influence to improve international trade and investment, covers a wide range of international representatives, domestic institutions, as well as bilateral ...diplomatic activities. Economic regionalism is the result of dynamic economic diplomatic interactions that can take shape in the form of a regional organization. The Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) is the only major regional organization to which Iran is a founding member, and sometimes manifests three specific features of the 11th government's foreign policy: developmentalism, regionalism, and internationalism. Now the question arises that what are the factors affecting the inefficiency of Iran's economic diplomacy in the ECO organization in advancing the economic regionalism policy of the 11th government? The main hypothesis is that in spite of the great potential in ECO, intra-structural problems, parallel work and overlapping of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with other institutions have been the cause of inefficiency and inability of this ministry to advance the policy of economic regionalism of the 11th government. The data of this article have been obtained by documentary-archival method and estimated using Eviews software. The analysis of the results obtained by interviewing Iranian diplomatic elites has been analyzed and explained.
The international diplomatic environment has reached to an unprecedented development, involving one of the newly specialized diplomatic types, namely the economic diplomacy. At the core of the fast ...movements in the diplomatic spheres across the Globe are the international agreements like the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) that determined diplomacy to dissolve into new subtypes, evolving from ground to the ocean and implementing new ways of achieving economic and climate sustainability. One of the newly created diplomatic spheres, is the blue ocean diplomacy that acts mainly in accordance with the rules and regulations that are being applied to the transatlantic economy. Even though TTIP encourages the increase of trade flows across the Atlantic, it will also ease the foreign investment procedures that, under the approach of keeping a sustainable environment, will represent one of the most important initiatives in implementing the blue economy concept within the framework of the transatlantic diplomacy.
Expropriation risk has a binding effect on foreign direct investment (FDI). However, state-owned multinational corporations may counter the monopoly power of the host state by leveraging the ...political influence of their home government. The magnitude of this counter force, we argue, may vary, depending on the strength of political relations between the home and host state, and the level of economic dependence of the host country on the home market. We find supporting evidence of our hypotheses using Chinese firm-level FDI information between 2003 and 2010.
It is widely recognized that exports contribute to economic growth. Many governments have seen economic diplomacy representation (foreign offices, embassies and consulates) as an important tool to ...diminish export barriers and foster economic growth. Thus, this study aims at understanding to what extent does the presence of Portuguese economic diplomatic representation in foreign states impact Portuguese exports. Based on merchandise exports to 144 countries for the period between 2008 and 2018, and using a quasi-gravity model of trade, results indicate that ceteris paribus, Portugal exports more to countries which host a Portuguese office and an increase in the number of offices in a foreign country positively affects exports to that country.
