Izjava dr. Panic amongst people buying stocks of UHT milk and milk powder products. A statement by Dr. Metka Macarol-Hiti from the Republic Commitee for Health and Social Care is presented. Fresh milk is processed into dairy products and milk powder, where contamination with radioactive iodine disappears after 60 days. Adults and students can move outside without restrictions, but for pregnant women and infants it is still recommended that they reduce their periods of time spent outdoors to a minimum. This is just a precautionary measure, whereas measured radiation is not dangerous to health. - Information:- Consequences of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster – elevated radiation and contaminated food. Na shodu, ki se ga je udeležilo več sto Ljubljančanov, so prebrali protesno izjavo, v kateri med drugim zahtevajo takojšnjo in brezpogojno ustavitev vseh jedrskih poskusov, v prihodnje pa natančno obveščanje javnosti o vseh posledicah jedrskih nesreč in o vseh nujnih in priporočljivih zaščitnih ukrepih.- Information:- The municipal youth organisation in Ljubljana organised a protest against the involuntary exposure to radioactive radiation after the Chernobyl disaster.- Original language summary:
