The paper proposes a generic approach to assembly planning where individual tasks, with detailed technological content specified by features, must be combined into an optimal assembly plan subject to ...technological and geometric constraints. To cope with the complexity and variety of the constraints that refer to the overall assembly process, Benders decomposition is applied. The macro-level master problem looks for the optimal sequencing and resource assignment of the tasks, while sub-problem modules ensure plan feasibility on the micro-level from aspects of technology, fixturing, tooling, and collision. Constraints are also dynamically generated for the master problem. The approach is demonstrated in automotive assembly.
Contemporary society leaves little space to dream and allows only for a reduced political engagement, with few shared beliefs. We criticise, but we do not act. We protest in mass, but we are ...individualistic. We advocate for freedom of thought, but we are prisoners of social media and their images: images, images, images popping out everywhere, overwhelming us, suffocating us. However, representations since antiquity have always had an impact on society, as mirrors and amplifiers of the everyday. They were created to question, describe and re-imagine faiths and situations: wandering tools able to tell a common story, through individual ones. They were not “images for images”, but rather parts of a larger narration expressed through different rituals, inviting a connection with the other. The goal was to see reality with other eyes and to recognise the sur-meaning in it. On the contrary, today we are faced by a different context: the fantastic - the imaginative, dreamy or creative potential of every object or being - is either rejected or fully embraced as a substitute of the surrounding reality. Therefore, the aim of this text is to investigate how to re-create a balanced connection between reality and the fantastic, architecture and ritual, representation and myth. If performance, seen as a key tool for the expression of collectivity, will be the linking thread of the discourse, montage, thanks to its relationship to time, will be the visual, acoustic and temporal vehicle, transporting us through this α-chronic incomplete voyage.
One of the most challenging tasks in the internet of things-cloud-based environment is the resource allocation for the tasks. The cloud provides various resources such as virtual machines, ...computational cores, networks, and other resources for the execution of the various tasks of the internet of things (IoT). Moreover, some methods are used for executing IoT tasks using an optimal resource management system but these methods are not efficient. Hence, in this research, we present a resource-efficient workload task scheduling (RWTS) model for a cloud-assisted IoT environment to execute the IoT task which utilizes few numbers of resources to bring a good tradeoff, achieve high performance using fewer resources of the cloud, compute the number of resources required for the execution of the IoT task such as bandwidth and computational core. Furthermore, this model mainly focuses to reduce energy consumption and also provides a task scheduling model to schedule the IoT tasks in an IoT-cloud-based environment. The experimentation has been done using the Montage workflow and the results have been obtained in terms of execution time, power sum, average power, and energy consumption. When compared with the existing model, the RWTS model performs better when the size of the tasks is increased.
Education is abundant in practical texts regulating, reflecting, guiding, and documenting. Nevertheless, practical texts often pass unnoticed in educational studies. This article discusses how ...poststructural documentary analysis can use practical texts for problematizing naturalized problematizations in education. Hence, the article takes educational problematizations of immigrant pupils as an example and objectifies it as a social question shaped by and shaping education. Then, key characteristics of practical texts, and how a text corpus can be established, is developed. In conclusion, the article advances a non-evaluative critique of education deploying systematic yet insubordinate analytical experimentation through aesthetic-effective montaging and (re)problematizations.

Cathodic catalysts play a key role in the enhanced performance of microbial fuel cells (MFCs), and exploring low cost and highly active catalysts is greatly important for the future development of MFCs. Herein, spinel CoFe2O4 (CFO) nanoparticles (NPs) were successfully in situ generated onto nitrogen-doped activated carbon by a hydrothermal-assisted annealing assembly method. The synergistic effect between CFO and N-AC in the CFO@N-AC nanocomposites take advantages of a large surface area, the less total resistance, fast electron transport and the excellent electrocatalytical activity for oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) from both the N-AC and CFO. The mechanism of oxygen reduction for CFO@N-AC catalyst is a direct four-electron pathway. The as-acquired CFO@N-AC nanocomposites serve as the air-cathode catalyst in single chamber MFCs. The performance of MFCs is markedly enhanced utilizing the CFO@N-AC material, with the maximum power density measured to be 1770.8±15.0mWm−2, which is 2.39 times higher than that of the control AC. The superior catalytic performance make the low-cost CFO@N-AC possess a promising outlook for the practical application of MFCs.

Resumo Este ensaio se propõe a fazer uma leitura de O perfeito cozinheiro das almas deste mundo (1918-1919) na condição de um laboratório do modernismo: escrita coletiva e diarística, colagem e ...montagem são ingredientes fundamentais desse experimento, cujas páginas exprimem uma dramaturgia da sedução. Por um lado, as condições materiais do diário permitem a aproximação de vestígios do mundo exterior que vão se moldando à plasticidade dos frequentadores e da frequentadora protegidos por pseudônimos. Por outro, esses elementos estabelecem, em parte, a constituição de uma nova sensibilidade na qual o “amor” e o “amar” se tornam um readymade. Sendo significantes flutuantes, eles aderem à dinâmica do humor, da paródia e até mesmo da dimensão lutuosa advinda com a morte da miss Cyclone. Essa leitura do diário da garçonnière segue fundamentalmente pelas materialidades que a edição fac-similar libera ao longo de suas páginas.
Resumen Este ensayo propone una lectura de O perfeito cozinheiro das almas deste mundo (1918-1919) como laboratorio del modernismo: escritura colectiva y diarística, collage y el montaje son ingredientes fundamentales de este experimento, cuyas páginas expresan una dramaturgia da seducción. Por un lado, las condiciones materiales del diario permiten la aproximación de vestigios del mundo exterior que se van moldando a la plasticidad de los frecuentadores y de la frecuentadora del lugar protegidos por seudónimos. Por otro lado, estos elementos constituyen, en parte, la integração de una nueva sensibilidad en la que "el amor" y "el amar" se tornan un readymade. Al ser significantes fluctuantes, ellos se adhieren a la dinámica del humor, la parodia e incluso a la dimensión luctuosa que viene con la muerte de Miss Cyclone. Esta lectura del diario de la garçonnière sigue fundamentalmente las materialidades que la edición facsímil publica a lo largo de sus páginas.
Abstract This essay aims to read O perfeito cozinheiro das almas deste mundo (1918-1919) as a laboratory of modernism: collective and diaristic writing, collage and montage are fundamental ingredients of this experiment in whose pages a dramaturgy of seduction is expressed. On the one hand, the material conditions of the diary allow for an approximation to traces of the outside world that are being moulded to the plasticity of the regular visitors who are protected by pseudonyms. On the other hand, these elements lead, in part, to the constitution of a new sensibility in which “love” and “loving” become readymade constructs. As floating signifiers, they adhere to the dynamics of humour, parody, and even the struggling dimension that comes with the death of Miss Cyclone. This reading of the diário da garçonnière follows fundamentally through the materialities that the facsimile edition releases throughout its pages.
Sin dalle origini del mezzo, le strategie di allestimento, gli spazi espositivi e la selezione delle immagini alla base delle mostre di fotografia hanno rispecchiato e al contempo stimolato ...specifiche ideologie del fotografico. In questo contesto, l'articolo discute due mostre svoltesi in Germania tra il 1920 e il 1929 – ossia la Erste Internationale Dada-Messe e l'esposizione Film und Foto – per illustrare alternative concezioni dell'identità della fotografia nel complessivo sistema dell'arte contemporanea.
