Osamu Dazai, one of the most prominent Japanese writers is known for his introspective writing style and existential angst. No Longer Human which means 'Disqualified as a human being' is a Japanese ...modern fiction published in 1948. It is considered as the final work of Osamu Dazai before his suicide. The work depicts Dazai's own life through the eyes of protagonist Oba Yozo. Dazai's works often explores the themes of human suffering, isolation, identity crisis and sense of despair. Dazai shows strong inclination towards existentialist and nihilist explication of human suffering. The novel is powerful exploration of an individual's existential crisis. The metaphysical crisis that Western thought is going through—whose main sign is nihilism—can be overcome through an understanding of the finite being that, precisely understood as ex nihilo, ...excludes nothingness from itself. This paper analyzes the notion of being ex nihilo and its real dynamism through the contributions provided by the metaphysics of the gift. The origin of being ex nihilo as donatio essendi is addressed first; we then move on to a reflection of finite being as given and absolute beginning. In this paper, I will aim to show that (§1) the notion of donatio essendi is a radical way of conceiving being as an absolute novelty that safeguards God’s freedom while securing the proper novelty of created being, (§2) then illustrate how created being is an absolute gift wholly dependent on the divine being, especially if the created being is a person, and (§3) finally, explain how these theses are compatible with an existential interpretation of the actus essendi according to the first principle of metaphysics, i.e., being as noncontradiction.

Elles sont rivales, mais leurs effets convergent : démembrement et, pour finir, déréalisation de l’autre de la pensée ; effacement de la présence ; relativisme (voire nihilisme). L’humanité devient une île sans océan. Le cosmos est comme s’il n’existait pas. Remédier à semblable anomalie s’impose.
The present article, while emphasizing the field and time leading to the emergence of analytical and continental philosophy, tries to study the main and fundamental origins of their emergence in ...Kant’s philosophy and to identify the strengths and weaknesses of both, to analyze the positive and efficient and the negative aspects of Kant’s philosophical heritage. To reach this purpose, at first some characteristics and differences of the two approaches are described. Then after presenting necessary introductions, through Kant’s general and strong philosophy, we get the two general outputs of analytic and continental approaches. In this way we develop from Kant’s episteme-sophia controversy to his nomen-phenomen dualism to get closer to his uninvited philosophy, i.e., nihilism so as to put into test the analytic-continental controversy. Finally, we try to present some conjectures regarding the required accompaniment of both.
En este trabajo intentaré ofrecer una visión de la situación del cristianismo en nuestras sociedades posmodernas tratando de averiguar si todavía hoy podemos seguir utilizando la categoría ...secularización, propia del pensamiento ilustrado. Se sostiene aquí que, sin embargo, la secularización debe entenderse, en nuestro contexto posmoderno, como expresión del nihilismo que, más que entrar en liza con lo religioso, llega a vaciar su contenido de verdad. Se trata de diferenciar la secularización del cristianismo de la secularización en el cristianismo. Esta última es la secularización que, comprendida desde la matriz del nihilismo, se expresa en el mantenimiento de las formas, de las estructuras y de los estilos, a costa de asumir la nula relevancia pública de lo religioso en lo que a pretensiones de verdad se refiere. Con todo, el nihilismo conecta con lo que aquí se denomina la economía kenótica de la fe y, en ese sentido, se apuntan algunas de las oportunidades que el cristianismo puede encontrar en este tiempo en el que nos toca vivir.

La question du nihilisme a une longue histoire. Elle émerge au sein de l'idéalisme allemand, se déploie ensuite dans l'intelligentsia et la littérature russes, puis trouve chez Nietzsche et ...Heidegger ses explorations les plus influentes. Si le mot semble moins courant depuis un demi-siècle -- comme d'autres termes aussi chargés, pensons à celui d'aliénation -- les enjeux qu'il soulève demeurent toutefois au cœur de la pensée contemporaine. Les risques environnementaux nourrissent d'ailleurs plus que jamais l'inquiétante intuition que de puissantes dynamiques de dévalorisation du réel sont à l'œuvre dans les sociétés modernes.
