This paper examines the effect of curricular and extracurricular activities on the entrepreneurial motivation and competences of university students. In order to address these issues, the authors ...have used Ajzen's model of planned behaviour, including curricular and extracurricular activities, analysing their effect on university students' attitude and behavioural control and their entrepreneurial intention as well as competences. Using a convenience sample of university students, we chose two Spanish institutions, with a total sample size of 1475 students. The analysis demonstrates the effects of curricular and extracurricular activities on the entrepreneurial intention of university students. Such activities generate positive attitudes for entrepreneurship but at the same time they lower capacity and intention to start a business. Similarly, the study shows the different effects of such variables on the competencies for entrepreneurship. Strategic and methodological implications of these results are discussed.
The individualisation of independent work in the professional training of future teachers contributes to the stable achievement of results in professional and pedagogical training, as it takes into ...account the needs, motivation, and capabilities of the student. One of the leading technologies of innovative education is tutoring, which ensures an open educational environment in a higher education institution. The article outlines the results of an experimental study of the state of individualisation of independent work in the professional training of future university teachers on the basis of comprehensive, competence-based, systemic and activity-based approaches. The experiment was conducted in the form of a questionnaire among 54 respondents – master students majoring in “011 – Educational, Pedagogical Sciences” of the Mykhailo Drahomanov Ukrainian State University in order to find out their attitude to the current individualisation of independent work and the introduction of tutoring technology. The respondents were offered a Google Forms questionnaire “The current state of individualisation of students' independent work in higher education institutions”, which consisted of 10 questions with possible answers. The results of the experiment showed that modern higher education institutions do not provide adequate conditions for the development of important skills and qualities in students, such as independence, the ability for self-education, self-development, and self-knowledge. It is established that the majority of master's students express their dissatisfaction with the organisation of individualised independent work in higher education institutions, which is due to insufficient attention to their interests, needs, and motives. It is proposed to introduce an integrated form of professional and pedagogical training of future teachers – tutoring technology as an important mechanism for innovating education, which can ensure the openness of the educational and scientific environment. The essence of the educational process under the guidance of a tutor, when a student acts as a tutor on the basis of subject-subject partnership interaction, is revealed. The results of the confirmatory experiment make it possible to further study the conceptual foundations of tutoring as a leading technology for individualising the educational and scientific process. The developed experimental study on the current state of individualisation of independent work in higher education institutions can be implemented at all levels of training of future pedagogical specialists
Physical rehabilitation during military aggression is one of the critical components of medical care for military personnel, their families, and the civilian population affected by the consequences ...of occupation, violence, bombings, etc. Training future physical therapists is a complex and essential process that requires specialised education, practical experience and constant updating of knowledge and skills. The practice-oriented approach, which allows students to gain real practical experience in treating patients even during their studies and helps them develop the skills and abilities necessary for successful practice, plays a crucial role in the training of physical therapists. The article reveals the peculiarities of training future physical and occupational therapists at Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University in cooperation with various institutions of the social sphere (rehabilitation institutions, various centres of psychosocial assistance). In interaction with the specified institutions, the recipients get to prepare for work in clinical, sports or other environments where their skills will be of actual use. A hands-on approach helps candidates learn to interact with different age groups and patients with different health conditions, from children to adults; contribute to the recovery of the physical and psychological condition of patients, helping them to return to an active life; by developing individual rehabilitation plans, physical therapists help restore mobility and improve patients’ quality of life, reducing the risk of disability.

The aim of this work is to point out the importance of the professionalization of the principal’s role in education institutions, with an accent on preschool institutions. The sample included ...principals (N=57) of preschool institutions in Central Croatia. The goal was to test the mediation relationship through SEM and examine the direct influence of interpersonal relationships within the preschool institution on the development of its work quality; furthermore, to test the indirect influence of these relationships by introducing the mediation variable of professional competence. The structured modelling in the AMOS was applied for testing the direct and indirect influence. The contribution of interpersonal relationships on the work quality is high and statistically significant (β=0,920), which confirms the direct influence. For testing the mediation effects, a bootstrapping method was designed that confirmed the indirect influence of interpersonal relationships on the work quality with the statistically significant serial mediator of professional competence (p= 0,016), thereby confirming partial mediation. This research determined that positive interpersonal relations, mediated by the principal’s professional competence, have a positive effect on the work quality of a preschool institution. In order for preschool institutions to reach the desired quality, it is necessary for them to be managed by professionally empowered and expert principals who promote prime cooperative relationships as the starting point in developing a high-quality institution. The results of this research contribute to a clearer perception and understanding of the professionalization of the principal’s role through key areas of his/her work and activity, and the possibility of their practical implementation into education institutions.
