The present article provides an overview of drinking songs from Perast as a special form of traditional lyrical creation and a dominant oral literary genre of the Bay of Kotor region's premodern oral ...poetry. The article describes the corpus of Perast’s collections created between the end of the 17th century and the 1830s in which drinking songs are included, providing an overview of previous research and analysis of genre and thematic characteristics of drinking songs from Perast.
Summary
Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a chronic gastrointestinal disease that results from a dysregulated immune response against specific environmental triggers in a genetically predisposed ...individual. Increasing evidence has indicated a causal role for changes in gut microbiota (dysbiosis) contributing to this immune‐mediated intestinal inflammation. These mechanisms involve dysregulation of multiple facets of the host immune pathways that are potentially reversible. Faecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) is the transfer of processed stool from a healthy donor into an individual with an illness. FMT has shown promising results in both animal model experiments and clinical studies in IBD in the resolution of intestinal inflammation. The underlying mechanisms, however, are unclear. Insights from these studies have shown interactions between modulation of dysbiosis via changes in abundances of specific members of the gut microbial community and changes in host immunological pathways. Unravelling these causal relationships has promising potential for a translational therapy role to develop targeted microbial therapies and understand the mechanisms that underpin IBD aetiopathogenesis. In this review, we discuss current evidence for the contribution of gut microbiota in the disruption of intestinal immune homeostasis and immunoregulatory mechanisms that are associated with the resolution of inflammation through FMT in IBD.

The prevalence of atopic diseases has increased drastically over the past decades, and the co‐occurrence of multiple allergic diseases and allergic sensitization starting in early life has gained a great deal of attention. Immune responses in different organs affected by allergic diseases (e.g. skin, intestine and lung) may be linked to microbial changes in peripheral tissues. In the current review, we provide an overview of the current understanding of microbial interactions in allergic diseases and their potential role in the atopic march.

U svojemu najznačajnijem djelu iz područja filozofije odgoja Ličnost i odgoj (1932.), Pavao Vuk-Pavlović polemizira s tvrdnjom Maxa Schelera o tomu da ljubav ne može biti odgojnim principom. Prema ...Vuk-Pavloviću, taj se Schelerov stav temelji na dvjema zabludama: prva je vezana uz Schelerovo pogrješno razumijevanje odgoja, a druga uz njegovo pogrješno razumijevanje ljubavi. U radu se analizira utemeljenost Vuk-Pavlovićeve kritike i postavlja šire pitanje o mogućnostima i granicama ljubavi u odgoju. Definirajući koncept ljubavi, Scheler ga doista suprotstavlja odgoju, koji podrazumijeva utjecanje na svoj objekt. U tom smislu, odgojem se pokušava nešto promijeniti na onomu koga se odgaja. Ljubav pak, prema Scheleru, podrazumijeva prihvaćanje onoga voljenog, a da ga se ne pokušava promijeniti. Prema tomu, svrha ljubavi nije utjecaj na voljeni objekt. Ipak, kroz genuini akt ljubavi, tvrdi Scheler, može doći do promjene kao pojavljivanja više vrijednosti. Schelerovo razumijevanje odgoja počiva na shvaćanju odgoja u negativnom smislu nametanja stranih vrijednosti, pri čemu se ne priznaje vlastitost i vrijednosni potencijal onoga koga se odgaja. S obzirom na navedenu koncepciju ljubavi, moglo bi se teoretizirati o drukčijoj vrsti odgoja koja podrazumijeva ljubav u smislu razvitka vlastitosti.
In his most significant work in the field of philosophy of education, Personhood and Education (1932), Vuk-Pavlović criticizes Schelerʼs claim that love cannot be an educational principle. According to Vuk-Pavlović, this claim is based on Schelerʼs two misconceptions: the first is related to Schelerʼs misunderstanding of education, and the second to his misunderstanding of love. In this text, we examine aspects of Vuk-Pavlovićʼs criticism and ask a broader question about the potentials and limits of love in education. When defining the concept of love, Scheler indeed opposes it to education, which for him implies changing the object of education. In this sense, education is an attempt to change the person being raised. On the other hand, according to Scheler, love means accepting the loved one without trying to change him. Therefore, the purpose of love is not to transform the loved object. However, through a genuine act of love, Scheler claims, change can occur as the appearance of higher values. Schelerʼs criticism of education is based on the understanding of education in the negative sense of imposing external values, where the individuality and value potential of the one being educated is not recognized. With regard to the aforementioned conception of love, one could theorize about a different type of education, which implies love in the sense of the development of one’s self.
Summary
The field of mucosal immunology has, for the last 10 years, been largely dominated by advances in our understanding of the commensal microbiota. Developments of novel experimental ...methodologies and analysis techniques have provided unparalleled insight into the profound impact the microbiota has on the development and function of the immune system. In this cross‐journal review series published in Immunology and Clinical and Experimental Immunology, we aim to summarize the current state of research concerning the interplay between the microbiota and mucosal immunity. In addition, the series examines how the increased understanding of the microbiota is changing the nature of immunological research, both in the laboratory and in the clinic.
Background
There is inadequate information regarding the factor structure of the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children – Fifth UK Edition (WISC‐VUK; Wechsler, 2016a, Wechsler Intelligence Scale ...for Children‐Fifth UK Edition, Harcourt Assessment, London, UK) to guide interpretation.
Aims and methods
The WISC‐VUK was examined using complementary exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) for all models proposed by Wechsler (2016b, Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children‐Fifth UK Edition: Administration and scoring manual, Harcourt Assessment, London, UK) as well as rival bifactor models.
Sample
The WISC‐VUK standardization sample (N = 415) correlation matrix was used in analyses due to denial of standardization sample raw data.
Results
EFA did not support a theoretically posited fifth factor because only one subtest (Matrix Reasoning) had a salient pattern coefficient on the fifth factor. A model with four group factors and a general intelligence factor resembling the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children – Fourth Edition (WISC‐IV; Wechsler, 2003, Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children‐Fourth Edition, Psychological Corporation, San Antonio, TX, USA) was supported by both EFA and CFA. General intelligence (g) was the dominant source of subtest variance and large omega‐hierarchical coefficients supported interpretation of the Full Scale IQ (FSIQ) score. In contrast, the four group factors accounted for small portions of subtest variance and low omega‐hierarchical subscale coefficients indicated that the four‐factor index scores were of questionable interpretive value independent of g. Present results replicated independent assessments of the Canadian, Spanish, French, and US versions of the WISC‐V (Canivez, Watkins, & Dombrowski, 2016, Psychological Assessment, 28, 975; 2017, Psychological Assessment, 29, 458; Fennollar‐Cortés & Watkins, 2018, International Journal of School & Educational Psychology; Lecerf & Canivez, 2018, Psychological Assessment; Watkins, Dombrowski, & Canivez, 2018, International Journal of School and Educational Psychology).
Conclusion
Primary interpretation of the WISC‐VUK should be of the FSIQ as an estimate of general intelligence.

Vuk Krajač potomak je senjske loze stare obitelji Krajač. Rođen je u Senju 1895. godine. Školuje se na europskim sveučilištima, govori nekoliko stranih jezika, a u Zagrebu diplomira i doktorira na ...temi iz pomorske politike. Radi na Sušaku i u Antwerpenu, a u Beogradu postaje sekretar u Ministarstvu prometa i pomorstva Kraljevine Jugoslavije.
Ženi se Rosandom Olip te dobivaju kći Jelku i sina Ivicu. Beograd napuštaju 1941. godine i otada žive u Zagrebu. U ratom razoreni Senj dr. Krajač vraća se 1946. godine, gdje piše i objavljuje studije o regulaciji grada i luke. Vlada Narodne Republike Hrvatske imenuje ga gradskim konzervatorom 1949. godine. U tom svojstvu sustavno radi na svim urbanističko-konzervatorskim temama graditeljske strukture koja tek treba postati kulturnom baštinom: tvrđava Nehaj, gradske zidine i kule, gradske palače, stambena područja i javni prostori, širenje novih područja, ali i potrebom institucionaliziranja zaštite na razini samoga Grada. Ostat će upamćen po rekonstrukciji palače Vukasović, osnivanju Senjskog muzejskog društva 1950. godine i osnivanju Gradskog muzeja Senj 1962. godine. Iste godine u Senju i umire.
