Dieser Tagungsbericht gibt einen Überblick über die fünfte Tagung der Initiative Qualitative Psychologie und das erste Treffen der Interessengruppe Nr. 17 "qualitative und quantitative Methodologie" ...der European Association for Research in Learning and Instruction (EARLI), das vom 21.-24. Oktober 2004 in Freudenstadt vom Zentrum für Qualitative Psychologie (Tübingen) organisiert wurde. Der Schwerpunkt der internationalen von Forscher/innen unterschiedlichster Professionen besuchten jährlichen Konferenz lag auf dem Thema mixed methods als Forschungsstrategie in der Psychologie und widmete sich der zentralen Frage, ob ein neues Paradigma benötigt wird, um den Widerspruch zwischen qualitativen und quantitativen Ansätzen zu überwinden. Der Tagungsbericht versucht, einen Eindruck der einzelnen Arbeiten und der gesamten Tagung zu vermitteln, den Workshop als solchen einzuordnen und Tendenzen der qualitativen Forschung in der Psychologie aufzuzeigen.
This conference report gives an overview of the fifth conference of the Qualitative Psychology Initiative and the first meeting of the European Association for Research in Learning and Instruction (EARLI) interest group (No. 17), that took place in Freudenstadt, Germany from 21-24 October 2004. The conference was organized by the Center for Qualitative Psychology (Tübingen). This year the main focus of the conference, which was attended by researchers from a wide spectrum of professions, was mixed methods as a research strategy in psychology. The main issue under discussion was whether a new paradigm is needed to resolve the contradiction between qualitative and quantitative approaches to doing research. This report attempts to give a résumé of the individual contributions and the conference as a whole, to put the workshop in context, and to provide a view of the trends in qualitative research in the field of psychology.
Este reporte de congreso da un resumen de la iniciativa del quinto congreso de Psicología Cualitativa y la primera reunión del grupo de interés (No. 17) de la Asociación Europea para la Investigación del Aprendizaje y la Enseñanza (EARLI), que tuvo lugar en Freudenstadt, Alemania, del 21 al 24 de Octubre, 2004. El congreso fue organizado por el Centro para la Psicología Cualitativa (Tübingen). Este año, el foco principal de interés, cuyos asistentes fueron investigadores de un espectro amplio de profesiones, fue la mezcla de métodos como una estrategia metodológica en psicología. El asunto principal en discusión fue si se necesitaba un nuevo paradigma para resolver la contradicción entre los enfoques cualitativo y cuantitativo para la realización de la investigación. Este reporte trata de proporcionar una síntesis de las contribuciones individuales y de la conferencia en su totalidad, para situar en contexto el taller, y proporcionar una visión de las tendencias en la investigación cualitativa en el campo de la psicología.
Abstract
This yearʼs annual AWOgyn meeting focused on studies of reconstructive breast surgery. As the majority of breast reconstructions are implant-based, most studies also focused on implant-based ...reconstruction. Since 2011, the guidelines have recommended using interposed mesh materials as support. The basic idea behind every type of material is to provide coverage and stabilization for the implant by constructing an “internal bra” which will create the appropriate implant shape and maintain the position, stability and flexibility of the implant. The Working Group for Reconstructive Surgery in Oncology-Gynecology (AWOgyn) has undertaken to analyze different materials with regard to indications, success rates and side effects as documented in registers, clinical assessments and study protocols. This has increased application safety and is expected to improve it even further in future. Prospective studies are being carried out to investigate issues such as the optimal material, optimal implant site and best cosmetic results. The first results for porcine and human acellular matrices and for partially resorbable titanium-coated synthetic polypropylene meshes are now available. In 2019, the AWOgyn working group will be launching further studies to evaluate a perforated acellular dermal matrix (Fortiva®), a titanium-coated implant pocket (TiLOOP® Bra Pocket) and a fully resorbable synthetic mesh (TIGR®mesh).
Zusammenfassung
In der diesjährigen AWOgyn-Tagung wurde die Studienlandschaft der rekonstruktiven Mammachirurgie beleuchtet. Da die Mehrzahl der Brustrekonstruktionen implantatbasiert durchgeführt wird, liegt hier auch der Fokus der Studienaktivitäten. Seit 2011 wird die Verwendung von unterstützenden und interponierenden Netzmaterialien in den AGO-Leitlinien empfohlen. Die Idee hinter allen Materialien besteht in der Bedeckung und Stabilisierung des Implantats durch Bildung eines inneren BH und der damit zu erreichenden Form- und Positionsstabilität des Implantats. Die Arbeitsgemeinschaft Wiederherstellende Onkologie in der Gynäkologie (AWOgyn) hat sich zum Ziel gesetzt, die unterschiedlichen Materialien in ihren Indikationen, Erfolgsraten und Nebenwirkungen in Registern und klinischen Untersuchungen sowie in Studienprotokollen zu analysieren. Dadurch wurde und wird die Anwendungssicherheit insgesamt deutlich erhöht werden. Durch prospektive Untersuchungen werden die Fragen nach dem optimalen Material, der optimalen Implantatlage und dem besten kosmetischen Ergebnis prospektiv untersucht. Zu porcinen und humanen azellulären dermalen Matrices, zu teilresorbierbaren und titanisierten synthetischen Polypropylennetzen liegen erste Daten vor. 2019 werden weitere Studien, die eine perforierte azelluläre dermale Matrix (Fortiva®), die titanisierte Implantattasche (TiLOOP® Bra Pocket) und ein voll resorbierbares synthetisches Netz (TIGR®mesh) bewerten, im Rahmen der AWOgyn-Studienarbeit initiiert.
