The essay deals with Greek-Catholic Zumbercani population in Slovenia. They are mostly migrants from the border region Zumberak in Croatia, & descendants of the Uskoki. More than half of them live in Southeastern parts of Slovenia, particularly in Municipality of Metlika. The majority lives in ethnically & religiously heterogeneous households & families. However, analyses show an important shift of younger population from declared Croats to Slovenians, & Greek-Catholics to Roman-Catholics. Tables, Figures, References. Adapted from the source document.
