Contaminated water and lack of sanitation lead to the transmission of diseases such as cholera, diarrhoea, dysentery, hepatitis A, typhoid fever and poliomyelitis. The study was carried out during the winter season (early May to late September of the year 2021). The study was carried out during the winter season (early May to late September of the year 2021). The objective of this study is to highlight the bacteria of the genus Vibrio in the waters of some prefectures of Lower Guinea. The analyzes were carried out in the bacteriology laboratory of the Institute for Research in Applied Biology of Guinea (IRBAG) in Kindia. We used standard bacteriological methods for the analyses. This study has revealed the existence of the bacterial strain in the waters analyzed with various frequencies according to the prefectures. It should be noted that the results obtained in Coyah had shown two (2) positive cases, i.e. 6.45%. While in Kamsar and Boffa we encountered one (1) positive case each with 3.22% and 2.27% respectively. The presence of other microorganisms including salmonella (9.68%), Enterococcus faecalis (3.23%) and Staphylococcus aureus (2.27%) has been reported. This study has shown the existence of the bacterial strain in the waters analyzed with various frequencies depending on the prefectures.
