Retail executive Michael Bozic joined $1 billion-in-sales Levitz as chief executive officer in November 1995. The company is facing bankruptcy. The most immediate concern is the $97.6 million in 12.375% senior notes maturing in April 1997. Bozic is likely to get some breathing room by striking a deal with bondholders to extend the maturity at least another 12 months. Bozic, who helped revive Sears's furniture division before digging Hills Discount Stores out of its hole, is the biggest reason for optimism on Wall Street.
