Gilbert discusses Suite ecossaise by Brian Inglis. Inglis is the director of music programs at Middlesex University, London, UK. He studied at the University of Durham and City University, London, gaining a PhD in composition and analysis. His music has been performed and broadcast around the world as well as featuring on releases from the Nonclassical and Sargasso labels. More than 60 of his compositions and arrangements are available from Composers Edition and Forton Music. Suite ecossaise is aimed at learner pianists, leisure-time musicians and professional performers. It is dedicated to the memory of the composer's uncle, Chilton Inglis, an audio engineer for BBC Scotland who had a lifelong love of music.
