Oral history, as a research tool, has been shown to be able to contribute to rural tourism in some tourist itineraries. In the municipality of Osório, in the State of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, a work was developed that sought, from field research, to collect reports for the constitution of oral history that could be used in oral interventions by the Tour Guides, during guides, as well as subsidies, based on historical information, to rural producers who engage in tourism activities.
