Ljubljana, 19 May (STA) - Presenting the annual financial stability report of Banka Slovenije on Tuesday, the central bank's governor Marko Kranjec said that Slovenian banks were in a relatively good shape. He added however that there was still a chance of deterioration resulting from a negative feedback loop from the real sector. "Above all, they have to check thoroughly which debtors and projects posses the financial and economic capital and the knowledge to secure capital. Insolvency procedures are what is appropriate for debtors without prospects," Jasovic said. He stressed that financing debtors was vital if the recession is not to get worse.
