The six ballads for solo instrument and orchestra or piano by Frank Martin stand as representative works of his compositional language. In turn, the three ballads for wind instruments have been, and still are, the subject of study both in the pedagogical field and in the interpretive field, so they are articulated as legitimate pieces of universal literature of saxophone, flute and trombone. The present article intends to give continuity to the previous one (Báez, 2018), referring on this occasion the main creative characteristics of the Ballad for flute and piano. Las seis baladas para instrumento solista y orquesta o piano de Frank Martin se erigen como obras representativas de su lenguaje compositivo. A su vez, las tres baladas para instrumentos de viento han sido, y siguen siendo, objeto de estudio tanto en el ámbito pedagógico como en el ámbito interpretativo, por lo que son vertebradas como piezas legítimas de la literatura universal de saxofón, flauta y trombón. El presente artículo pretende dar continuidad al anterior (Báez, 2018), refiriendo en esta ocasión las principales características creativas de la Balada para flauta y piano.
