  • Preparing universal distance learning material
    Krašna, Marjan ; Gerlič, Ivan
If you live in a small country where people do not speak foreign languages you have some problems with new multimedia learning material. Learning material in foreign language is unsuitable for ... primary school learning and even some students at the university level have problems understanding foreign languages. If we take into account these facts we need find out that we need to prepare our own learning material. The simplest idea is to record the classes. It would be most inexpensive but in some cases inappropriate. We know that streaming over the Internet is reality but the bandwidth at the end user for the distance learning is still too low that we could transmit learning material without postproduction. The postproduction means additional cost. We need to turn this cost to our advantage and make material that could be easily converted into another language. In the article we will present our work we made for Slovenian Nation Council and how can we use the knowledge for producing distance-learning material
