  • Surface protection by flame-spraying of a NiCrBSi coatings [Elektronski vir]
Bergant, Zoran ; Grum, Janez, 1946-
Paper reports the results of investigation, conducted on as-sprayed specimens and coatings after subsuquent heat treatment and remelting. Effects of short-term heat treatment were studied in a ... temperature range below the solidus line, where heat treatment of the coating was performed, and between the solidus and liquidus lines, where melting of a coating was performed. During remelting, fusion of the coating across the entire cross section occurred, which shows in filled-in pores in the coating microstructure and splat-boundaries reducement. With longer heat-treatment times an increase of crystal grains was observed. Microchemical analysis of dark precipitates foundin remelted coatings showed the gradual increase of cromium content of remelting and gradual decrease of nickel content. Measurement of residual stresses with the standard hole-drilling relaxation method showed reduction oftensile residual stresses in the coating after remelting.
