Računalniška FSI simulacija toka zraka v zgornji dihalni poti človeka : diplomska naloga univerzitetnega študija

Sindrom obstruktivne apneje/hipopneje v spanju (OSAHS) je motnja dihanja v spanju na razvoj katere vplivajo anatomske karakteristike zgornje dihalne poti ter živcno-mišicna aktivnost. S FSI analizo ...poskušamo pojasniti mehanizem kolapsa oziroma zapore zgornje dihalne poti, kot tudi smrčanja, ki je eden izmed simptomov OSAHS. Osredotočimo se na območje velopharynxa, kjer je podajnost zgornje dihalne poti največja. Ugotovimo, da se pri vdihu zaradi povišanega negativnega tlaka v tem območju dihalna pot dodatno zoži, kar pomeni začetek kolapsa. Prav tako se pokažejo vibracije mehkega tkiva, ki so posledica tokovnih karakteristik. Te vibracije lahko povzročijo tudi smrčanje.
