  • Pädagogischer Takt und Lehrerpersönlichkeit in herbartianischen Konzepten der Lehrerbildung
    Protner, Edvard
It makes sense in the Herbartianistic concept of teacher education to distinguish between the professional knowledge (pedagogica theory) required bythe future teacher on the one hand and teaching ... practice, which should enable the teacher to effectively apply the scientific theory to practice on the other. Thus Herbart developed the concept of Pädagogischer Takt (pedagogical tact), which presupposes among other things changes in personality. Typical of the concept of teacher education developed by Stoy and Ziller is a well thought-out organizational structure of teacher education consisting of theory, practice and critical reflection. Stoy emphasized school life, Ziller classroom activities, and Herbart private teaching. These differences are the basis of the differences in their understanding of pedagogical tact and teacher personality. Stoy introduced thementioned organizational structure into the education of elementary school teachers, where the shaping of the teacher's personality is of particular importance
