In this paper the design and construction of low cost axial flux permanent magnet synchronous motor (AFPMSM) using analytical method is presented. The main goal of this paper is to present the ...construction of the motor with allowed constant load torque (rated load torque) considering the components costs and constraints in the AFPMSM design. In order to obtain the optimal results according to the coils sides dimensions, the thickness (coil has the same thickness as stator) and width of the coil are chosen to be the variables. Using the analytical method via magnetic vector potential and observing the results within the whole analytical analysis model, the optimisation process in this early design stage can be accomplished efficiently, fast and completely controlled.
