The paper presents experimental findings on the effect of different material parameters on both of autogenous and total shrinkage of high performance concretes. The following material parameters were ...considered: water-binder ratio, the amount of binder, the amount of mineral admixture -silica fume, the type of cement and chemical admixture. The experiments were carried out under constant conditions of humidity and ambient temperature. For the purpose of comparison, the respective amounts of autogenous shrinkage of a conventional concrete featuring the same consistency and an adequate water-binder ratio were also evaluated.
