Zunajbolnišnično zdravstveno varstvo primarne ravni = Out-patient health care at primary level

This chapter brings data on all primary health care services that are accessible without GP's referral. Since 1997 these data have been produced using computer-based programme ZUBSTAT. The reported ...health services are presented by the type of visit (preventive/curative), sex, age group and ICD-10 code. The data are partly aggregated because health care providers do not supply individual data, but number of patients, grouped by age group and sex, for each type of visit or ICD-10 diagnosis. The first set of tables show the number of visits at the primary care level, by age group and sex. In the next set, the number of visits by the reported diagnosis is indicated. For data processing, initial diagnosis (the cause of the first contact with the patient - the reported disease or health problem) is taken into consideration.Some segments of data supplied by primary health care services are presented in more detail in the chapters dealing with women's health care,health care of 0-6-year-olds (including services delivered by the out-patient developmental clinic), health care of school children and youth, general practice and occupational, traffic and sports health services. Chapter4 includes data from the database prepared on 11 May 2001. Minor differences may be found between data in other chapters if corrections were entered after the above mentioned date. This year, data on specialist out-patient services delivered at the secondary care level are presented together with the data from other sources in Chapter 12, and are no longer included in Chapter 4. Data on dental services derived from other sources are presented only in Chapter 11 and are not included in Chapter 4.
