    The optimum differentitation of genetic and environmental effects is one of the preconditions of as precise estimation of breeding values as possible. Therefore we analysed the influence of ... environment factors on variability of the parameter daily milk yield in sheep by means of linear model with fixed and random effects. We evaluated two of the largest breeds in Slovakia - improved Valachian and Tsigai ones (purebred animals only). In both breeds we found statistically higly significant influence (P<0.01) of all fixed effects incorporated into the model: lactation order, number of milkings a day, littersize, linear or quadratic coefficient of dependence of daily milk yield on number of lactation days. The proportion of variability of the random effect fym on total variability was high, in harmony with our expectation, 0.42 in the Improved Valachian or 0.33 in the Tsigai breeds. During the analysed period (1995-2000) it is possible to observe certain improvement of the rearing conditions although their influence must be characterized as periodical, connected with seasonal fluctuation of sheep milk production in Slovaria. The ewew achived higher milk yield on 2nd and 3rd lactation comparedwith1st lactation. The differences in daily milk yield were higher between 1st and next lactations than between 2nd and 3rd lactation in both breeds.
