    A family of handheld 3D measuring apparatuses is presented, designed to measure the shape and colors of human body parts. Apparatuses are based on triangulation principle with multiple-line ... illumination. They are composed of a digital photo camera with added projection system, where built-in camera flash is used as a light source. The shape and color of the surface are reconstructed based on a single captured image, thatʼs why measuring of moving objects is enabled. Measuring apparatuses are presented in two applications: head orientation and wound dimensions measuring. Head orientation measuring is based on 3D measuring of upper trunk and head and alignment of those partial surfaces onto a reference surface. The repeatability of orientation measuring is 3°, including the unrepeatability of the human move itself. Measuring of the wound dimensions is possible with accuracies of 2.5 mm, 12 mm 2 and 30 mm[sup]3 for perimeter, area and volume measuring, respectively.
