    When producing composites using wet layup there comes to problems with porosity and embrittlement of products. As a result the production output is lower. We have researched into the effect of ... duration of lamination before vacuuming on mechanical properties of the composite made from epoxy resin and fibrous reinforcements. We have prepared samples of composite material made from glassfibre cloth and epoxy resin, where we vacuumed the samples in different time intervals. We have tested the material on tensile and bending strenght with fibre orientation of 0° and 45°. We have researched the effects of different time intervals on fibre volume fractions of the composite, its thickness and macro porosity. We have determined an appliable and realistic production time frame for the chosen combination of epoxy resin and hardener. Inappropriate time intervals can result in a composite with excessive or insufficient thickness with inferior mechanical properties.
