    The article describes nursing and the significant role of a nurse/medical technician in performing a bronchial toilet at the Department of Anesthesiology and Invasive Care Unit. Intubation with a ... flexible bronchoscopeis one of the special intubation techniques. There are numerous indications for the application of a flexible fiberoptic bronchoscope in performing a bronchial toilet in critical patients. The therapeutical bronchoscopy procedure usually involves a nurse/medical technician who was educated at the University Clinic of Respiratory and Allergic diseases Golnik.Special emphasis in the article is placed on the role of a nurse/med. technician in bronchial toilet of a critical patient under artificial ventilation.
