  • Numerični model in optimizacija sferičnega magnetoreološkega aktuatorja [Elektronski vir]
Vizjak, Jakob ; Jesenik, Marko ; Hamler, Anton
A model was built using Matlab and Simulia Opera software. It consisted of a spherical rotor, a stator, a layer of magnetorheological fluid between them, a disc, a couple of seals and a coil in the ... stator. Finite Element Method was used for the magnetostatic analysis of the model. The goal was to introduce a quick optimization process to optimize the actuator’s radius for maximum torque and smallest size. For this, an objective function was constructed. Several models with different radius of the actuator were built. Using the Least Squares Method, an approximation polynomial was found for the objective function’s value dependence on the actuator’s radius. The minimum value of the approximation function corresponded with the optimal model. Two cases were considered. In the first, 11 models were built, and in the second, 6. The optimization was successful in both cases. The resulting optimized radius was similar in both cases, with the second case being significantly less timeconsuming (45,81% less).
