Faculty of Natural Sciences And Mathematics, University of Maribor was invoived in a research of the renovation of extent "pedagogical double - major programme Chemistry and ... "into Bologna model 3+2. Two degree programme is named "Educational Chemistry". The product of first non-pedagogical degree is a, graduate of Educational Chemistry, who is expected to transform into a Master Chemistry teacher in the second pedagogical degree. The formation of the curriculum of this study programme was based upon generic competences of the future Chemistry teacher. Professional Chemistry and optional subject module represent the basic components of the curriculum. The content of syllabuses of topical subjects of didactic - methodological Chemistry teachers' education and training originates from subject specific competences. The emphasis in the contribution is on the methodology and strategy of achieving specific competences concerning Chemistry Didactics.
