  • Phase instability of copper alloys with selenium, tellurium and sulphur
Kosec, Ladislav ; Gontarev, Vasilij ; Kosec, Borut
The sulibility of sulphur, selenium and tellurium in solid copper is less than 0.1 mas %. Thus most of the copper alloys with elements of the sixth group are two phasic. The specificity of these ... alloys is the eutectic reaction, which appears already with a low mas % of alloying element. At high temperatures the geometry of phases of the annealed alloys is changed. Spheroidation and coarsening of the intermetallic phases ▫$(Cu_2S, CuTe, CuSe)$▫ occur; geometric and chemical instability of the intermetallic phases is extra obvious in annealing of alloys in the oxygen atmosphere.
