    With the help of macroprudential policy, the relevant supervisory institutions try to mitigate the effects of financial cycles and increase the resilience of their financial systems. In general, the ... financial systems are exposed to cyclical and structural systemic risks, which may be a consequence of different economic shocks. In this note, we try to provide an overview of the implemented macroprudential measures across EU countries and present the latest trends in the macroprudential policy settings. We observe that a large number of EU countries are strengthening their macroprudential policy frameworks by introducing more preventive and resilience-building macroprudential measures.
