Assessment and rehabilitation of timber structures in slovenian cultural heritage structures [Elektronski vir]

Inspection, assessment of residual load bearing capacities of historic timber structures and proposal for their rehabilitation is one of the important tasksof the Section for Timber Structures at ...Slovenian National Building and Civil Engineering Institute (ZAG, Ljubljana, Slovenia). This paper presents techniques used in inspection and some examples of assessments of timber roofs/ floors and timber bridges, together with proposed rehabilitation measures, and in some cases also describe their successful implementation. Aspects of current building regulative relating to the assessment of historic timber structures are also discussed in the paper.
