Asociacija Salicetum waldsteinianae Beger 1922 v jugovzhodnih apneniških Alpah (Slovenija) = The association Salicetum waldsteinianae Beger 1922 in the southeast limestone Alps (Slovenia)

The association, or its geographic variant, Salicetum waldsteinianae Beger 1922 corr. Zupančič & Žagar 2001 var. geogr. Homogyne sylvestris var. geogr. nova, appears in the pre-Alpine and Alpine ...region of Slovenia, overgrowing degraded sites of the primary associations Polysticho lonchitis-Fagetum s. lat., Alnetum viridis in Pinetum mugo s. lat. The characteristic species of the association are Salix waldsteiniana and Salix glabra, and the differential species Rhododendron hirsutum and Carex ferruginea. The differential species of the geographic variant are Homogyne sylvestris, Knautia drymeia subsp. drymeia, Aposeris foetida and Galium laevigatum. The geographic variants are further distinguished by many Southeast European-Illyrian, Eastern Alpine and Southeast European species.
