Možnosti funkcionalne ocene stanja sluha po izpostavitvi hrupu = The possibilities of hearing evaluation after noise exposure

A noise-induced hearing impairment is permanent and has an impact on the quality of life and work capability. Different assessment methods are used to evaluate the hearing, as only one method is ...usually not satisfactory. Pure tone audiometry is a subjective method giving good results wiih qualified staff and suitable equipment. Objective hearing tests are of great help in thecases of malingering or hiding the hearing impairment but they cannot define a hearing threshold which we need to evaluate the capability for work. The protection against noise trauma in the workplace helps to prevent this kind of hearing impairment.
