  • Knowledge management through a human resource management perspective [Elektronski vir]
    Mesner-Andolšek, Dana ; Štebe, Janez
The present analysis focuses on the platforms of knowledge in an organization. We are interested in the organizational infrastructure that enables the dissemination of knowledge, HRM strategies and ... policies that accelerate knowledge management processes. The results of this analysis show how knowledge management strategies are shaped in organizations and how these strategies are present in different institutional contexts. Six countries were included in the research: the Czech Republic, Germany, the Netherlands, Slovenia, Sweden, and the UK. In the year 2002, while analysing the same six countries, we found that strategies of knowledge management differ with regard to their elements and successfulness and thus, we can talk about three models of knowledge management: Anglo -Saxon, Scandinavian, and Rhine. The present analysis considers the above countries with updated data and shows the differences in strategies of knowledge management that have emerged during the last period of time (three years). CRANET data is used to analyse the data gathered in two time periods. The sample includes the same countries as the 2002 study, where 2,357 organizations were analysed. In the year 2004 there where 2,448 organizations selected for the study. We will show if models of knowledge management are relatively stable over time or whether they change due to different determinants (circumstances). Changes in the structure of a single model show that these models are relatively stable and durable.
