Thermodynamic behaviour of some azo dyes in aqueous solutions

The thermodynamic aspects of self-association of three monoazo dyes C.I. Acid Red 88, C.I. Acid Orange 7 and Orange 8 in aqueous solution have been studied by means of a potentiometric method. An ...ion-selective membrane electrode selective to a dye anion has been constructed. This electrode, with a dye anion - surfactant cation carrier complex incorporated within the PVC gel membrane, permitts a direct determination of the dye monomer concentration.
