  • External differentiation in EFL classes - is this the way to go or should it go away?

    In the past few years, Slovenia has introduced a change from eight years of compulsory schooling to nine years, and with this change, a model of ability grouping has also been introduced. There has ... not been much research done in the field of ability grouping in Slovenia, which aroused the idea of making anevaluation of the external differentiation, which is carried out in the eighth and ninth year of elementary school. The main purpose of this article is to briefly describe the school system in Slovenia, and then present the views and opinions about the external differentiation expressed by the teachers, students and parents.
