Transient heat transfer in a vertical farm

Based on very positive experiences in the five years period of exploitation, the present vertical farm will be re-planned. The vertical farm will in a special way join the greenhouse, riding place ...and the horse stable. The greenhouse is going to be extended to an area enabling economic vegetable production. The greenhouse is going to be placed above buried riding ground to avoid high temperature oscillations in horse stable. 36 horse stables is supposed to be in a new farm. The barn will be located on the top of the stables. In the paper the transient heat transfer using TRNSYS computer code is presented. As the results of the study the energy consumption for farm heating are evaluated for different operating regimes and construction details. In addition the results of the rain water supply study are shown.
