  • (N+2)-field modelling of dispersed multiphase flow [Elektronski vir]
    Tomiyama, Akio ...
ǂA ǂnumerical method based on a (N+2)-field model was proposed in this study. The (N+2)-field model can deal with a continuous liquid phase field, a continuous gas phase field and N dispersed gas ... phase fields. It can therefore cover various kinds of bubbly flows encountered in practical problems. To develop a numerical method based on the (N+2)-field model, an interface tracking method based on a VOF-CIP method was implemented into the (N+1)-fluid model proposed in our previous study. The modification from the (N+1)-fluid model to the (N+2)-field model is straightforward because the number of field equations to be solved does not increase. The details of the proposed (N+2)-fluid model and its application to single rising bubbles and bubble plumes are described in this report.
