  • Information seeking strategies
    Knez-Riedl, Jožica
Increased awareness and the need for early recognition of both, risk and opportunities, have supplemented the classical resources with information. It is becoming one of the predominant resources, at ... the same time its importance as a special kind of asset is increasing. As the so called intellectual asset or even intellectual capital it has from day to day more evident influence on the value of a firm. In circumstances of a complex, abundant information environment a firm should have an information seeking strategy which means: a shift from passive to active information seeking, co-creation of information fields, proactive disclosure policy, preparedness for feedback seeking, and implication of the so-called open-book management. It helps to gain information quality as a precondition for decision-making process and the optimal information costs.
