Razvoj in validacija pol - avtomatske metode za vrednotenje farmacevtskih onesnažil v odpadnih vodah z metodo LC - MS/MS [Elektronski vir] = Development and validation of a semi - automatic LC - MS/MS method for determination of selected pharmaceutical pollutants in wastewater samplesRoškar, Robert, 1975- ...We aimed to develop an analytical method that combines semi - automatic solid phase extraction (SPE - DEX ) and liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC - MS/MS) for determination of ten ... selected pharmaceuticals in wastewater samples. In order to obt ain an optimal analytical method, several factors were taken into account to achieve better extraction efficiency (pH in volume of the loaded sample, SPE disks, elution solvent, reconstitution ...) and sensitivity (LC - MS/MS conditions). Stable isotope - labele d internal standards were used to compensate for matrix effects and to increase the accuracy and precision of quantitation. The method showed suitable linearity (R 2 < 0.99), imprecision (RSD<10%) and relatively high extraction efficiencies (> 80% for most analytes) for selected pharmaceuticals. Limits of quantification were in low ng/L range and were sufficient for quantitation of these analytes in wastewater samples. According to the similar performance and several advantages, such as faster and easier pro cedure with a lesser probability of cartridge blocking, the SPE - DEX is preferred over the classical SPE for wastewater sample pretreatment. The analytical method was successfully applied to the measurement of the selected pharmaceuticals in wastewater sam ples within the PharmDegrade project.Type of material - conference contributionPublish date - 2016Language - slovenianCOBISS.SI-ID - 4349041
